The Church of God Messiah Orchestra, which presents touching emotions through musical performances of praise to Elohim, provided a special event, after starting its nationwide concert tour in 2010. The Orchestra held the “Charity Concert to Help Earthquake Victims in Haiti” at the Busan KBS Hall on February 21, after having a concert at the Church of God in Suyeong, Busan, on February 19. Over 7,000 people including the members of the Church of God, citizens and eminent people from various fields in the Busan area attended the charity concert, wishing for the reconstruction of Haiti.

Before the concert, General Pastor Kim Joo-Cheol expressed his gratitude to the special guests, and wished that the concert would be a meaningful event to convey the love and comfort of Heavenly Mother, who embraces all the souls, to the people of Haiti and also to share the pain of our global neighbors together. Kim Hyong-O, Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Korea, and Hur Nam-Sik, Mayor of Busan Metropolitan City, celebrated the meaning of the concert by sending their congratulations.

Soon the concert started. The Messiah Orchestra performed magnificent orchestral works—some familiar classics and lieder, and also gave grand performances along with the Men’s Ensemble, which deeply touched the hearts of the audience. They also conveyed the message of hope to the people of Haiti through the beautiful melodies of the New Songs that contain the message of salvation and heavenly hope.

Park Geok-Jei, Chief of Seo-gu Office in Busan, made highly favorable comments about the concert: “It was a fantastic concert giving dreams and courage to Haiti.” Bae Duk-Kwang, Mayor of Haeundae District, expressed his impression of the concert by saying, “I am happy to join you for this great concert. I hope your warm hearts toward the global people will be conveyed to the whole world beyond Korea.”

After the concert, the audience joined the procession of fund-raising to help the earthquake victims in Haiti. They participated in the “sharing love” event, saying, “We are delighted and happy to give help to the Haiti earthquake victims even if it is small. We earnestly hope that they will take away the pain and live happy lives as soon as possible.”

The performances of love from the heart are now resounding to Haiti. The Messiah Orchestra will continue to inspire hope in the hearts of those who are groaning with pain caused by accidents and disasters throughout the world, through the beautiful music of the soul.
