From August 10 to 14, the “2009 Summer Training Workshop for World University Students” was held for the university students who cherished ambitious dreams for the gospel. This workshop was attended by the Korean university students, who were selected through a foreign language competence test, and the overseas university students from 35 Churches in 17 countries. They radiated their passion and ambition for the world mission to the fullest.

Through the opening worship service, Mother gave thanks to Father for allowing the university students like the dew of the dawn-the protagonists of the prophecy-to gather together in one place, and earnestly prayed that the university students throughout the world would all be united in one mind to please God by fulfilling His true will for the gospel. Mother encouraged the overseas university students who joined the workshop even in difficult circumstances. Then She reminded them again that all this work was fulfilled according to the prophecies of God, and added, “You have been called to be the prophetic heroes who will surprise the world. So, please fulfill the great mission to save the world by fully realizing its blessings and value and putting into practice what you have realized.”

General Pastor Joo-Cheol Kim wished all of them to be reborn as great evangelists, saying, “Our beginnings seem humble, but God will make our future so prosperous. Please believe this firmly and complete the remaining work of the gospel quickly, with strong faith and fervent passion.”

All of the workshop programs including worship services were conducted in English. The students were divided into groups according to languages-English, Spanish, Nepali, Mongolian, German and so on, and they had intensive education about the truth. Besides, there were various additional programs such as instruction on faith, literacy training, audio-visual education, the world mission report, etc. The Korean students formed teams with the overseas members and preached the sermons (46 subjects) in foreign languages. By sharing their faith, spiritual realizations and culture, they put their minds together for the gospel.

On the last day of the workshop, General Pastor Joo-Cheol Kim repeatedly emphasized “obedience” during the closing service, saying, “When you follow exactly what God has told us, you will come to see a miracle of God.” And he delivered Heavenly Father’s wish that the youth students and young adults in Zion become spiritual warriors with strong faith like Daniel and his three friends-Shadrach, Meshach, Abednego-and David, and to put God’s will into practice.

While staying together for four nights and five days at the Okcheon Go&Come Training Institute, the student members from universities in Korea and overseas learned God’s love as well as consideration and unity, and also widened their view for the gospel. They pledged themselves, saying, “We give thanks to God for having entrusted the great mission of the gospel to young adults like the dew of the dawn in this age. In our past lives, we hesitated to preach on the pretext that we were lacking in faith or foreign language competence, without fully realizing the grace of God who called us. But now we realize that it’s time for us to take a leading role in world evangelism. As the protagonists of the prophecy, we will accomplish the gospel quickly by willingly devoting ourselves to God and His kingdom.”
