The Messiah Orchestra, which had been continuously conducting the concerts in Busan, Gwangju, Daegu, Seoul, Incheon and Daejeon since the beginning of the year, held the “16th Messiah Orchestra Tour Concert for Foreigners in Korea” in Seongnam to deliver the message of love to people from around the world once again. The concert was held at the Seongnam Citizen’s Hall on June 13. Over 3,000 people, including Seongnam citizens, the Church of God members living in the Seongnam area and foreigners in Korea, attended the concert. Park Hee-tae, National Assembly Speaker, and Kim Mun-su, Governor of Gyeonggi Province, sent a congratulatory message through which they conveyed their gratitude and appreciation for the concert.

General Pastor Joo-Cheol Kim expressed his gratitude to the audience for attending the concert, and introduced the Church, saying, “The Church of God serves God the Mother and conveys Mother’s love to the whole world.” And he also delivered his wish, saying, “I earnestly hope that foreigners living in Korea will alleviate their loneliness through music which contains Mother’s love, and that the concert will be a great opportunity for all of you to become one as members of the global family beyond the boundaries of nationality, language and culture.”Soon after, the Messiah Orchestra’s performance unfolded on stage. The orchestra passionately performed classical music, Korean songs, and New Songs. Through the touching melodies of love, the orchestra presented happiness to the audience.

Philippe Coulon from Belgium, Professor at Kangwon National University, conveyed his joy by saying, “I don’t know much about music. But I felt that the hearts of all people who attended this concert became one, and I was also able to feel the warm-heartedness of Korean people.” Phyllis Beard from America, an elementary school English teacher, said, “Actually I was hurt many times while living in Korea, just because I am a foreigner, and I felt verydisappointed. Just before I was about to return to my country, I came to this concert. Now I feel very comforted and consoled. I wish that more foreigners had come to this concert.”

Kim In, Music Director of the Korea W Philharmonic Orchestra, conveyed his expectations for the ongoing activities of the Messiah Orchestra, saying, “I believe that this concert will play an important role in helping Koreans become united with people around the world, so that Korea can step into a country with a more advanced culture. On top of that, the orchestra presents beautiful music, a mixture of various harmonies. I believe that foreigners in Korea are very much encouraged after listening to the orchestra’s warm message of unity.”

The Messiah Orchestra, which consists of the Church of God members, has successfully fi nished the nationwide concert tour so far since it started with a pure purpose to convey the love of Elohim—the love of God the Mother. Through music, the Messiah Orchestra reproduces the loving touch of Mother, who heals and comforts the wounded souls all around the world. The melodies, which Mother’s heart melts into, touches the heart of the world, presenting more beautiful emotions than the performance skills and techniques.
