On June 11, the rain with thunders and lightning stopped and began a sunny day. On that day, about 300 members from Jeonbuk Eastern Association gathered to help Se-Tae Kim (69), an owner of a pear farm in Jangsu-gun, North Jeolla Province.

They thinned out the superfluous pears and covered them with paper. Mr. Kim asked for a help because he was short-handed. He thanked the members for coming to help him even though it was very far from the Church and explained how to thin out the superfluous pears and cover them with paper.

It was about 11am when he finished his explanation. Then, they began to work in the 11,861 yd2. At first, some who had never done such a work made a mistake of cutting fresh leaves, but as time went, they got used to the work.

After lunch, they finished off the work in Mr. Kims farm and moved to a 5,500 yd2 field of his neighbor called Dal-Su Hwang (70). It took them less than one hour to finish the work which would take Mr. Hwang about ten days. Mr. Hwang said joyfully, It seems that I will harvest good pears this year thanks to your help.

Pastor Jong-Oh Park said, While working here, we could understand the mind of God who takes care of every child who is described as a tree which bears fruit.

The members hoped that the small and green pears covered with paper will grow big and delicious this autumn, so that they can please the farmers. They also showed their resolution, saying, As many good fruits come into bearing when a farmer takes care of them carefully, we will bear many good fruits by taking care of the souls with love and the mind of a farmer.
