What relationship does the city of refuge, which was established to give eternal life to humankind, have with Melchizedek and the Passover?

Murderers who were confined in the city of refuge could receive the forgiveness of sins and return to their home only after the death of the high priest.

In the same way, human beings who sinned in heaven and are confined on this earth, the city of refuge, can return to our eternal heavenly home only through the Passover that Jesus Christ established through His sacrifice to death.
