God let His ark of the covenant go before the Israelites
so that they would follow it when He protected them
with a pillar of cloud and of fire, and also when He allowed
them to enter Canaan after conquering the city of Jericho.

In the age of the Holy Spirit, too, we can enter
the kingdom of heaven when we follow the teachings
of Heavenly Father and Heavenly Mother.

(Moses was not allowed to enter the land of Canaan
because he revealed his righteousness.)
