Repentance is one of the most necessary things in our life of faith, and it must be done before everything else.

Repentance is to turn our sinful mind heading toward the world to the world of God's grace. (e.g. Repentance of Jonah, and the parable of the prodigal son)

Like the tax collector who humbled himself and prayed with tears, realizing he was a sinner, and like David who confessed his sin from the bottom of his heart before God, a perfect repentance is to confess the sins that we committed in heaven and on this earth with all our heart.
