The Church of God runs a student camp during school vacation every year to help the youth students grow bright and healthy through the teachings of God. The Church also helps the students spend a substantial and meaningful vacation by inviting their friends to the camp and conveying the love of God to them. From January 2 to 21, the “2012 Winter Student Camp” was successfully held in every local Church nationwide, being attended by nearly 10,000 students.
The programs of the camp focused mainly on Bible study. The teaching staff taught the students the words of the Bible as well as God’s will and teachings contained in the words, at their level of understanding by using various audio-visual materials such as movies and UCCs. The students joyfully reviewed what they had learned each day while solving quizzes and puzzles, and they also practiced preaching the truth in front of their friends to deliver the good news of salvation to them.

They also had field experience to put God’s love into practice personally; they participated in various volunteer activities such as visiting senior centers, lending a helping hand to farmers, and carrying out environmental cleanup campaigns. While volunteering their services for their neighbors and community, they found joy and worth in giving love. In addition, they enlarged their experience by visiting the court, the Independence Hall, and the fire station. They also spent meaningful time doing creative things such as making soap and cooking as well as enjoying recreation together.

When the camp was finished, the students said, “We were really happy to participate in the camp together with our friends, so we were able to promote our friendship and even share the blessings of heaven together.” With a much more mature attitude, they expressed their ambitious plan, saying, “In the new semester, we will preach God’s love to more of our friends by putting into practice the teachings of God that we learned at the camp.”
