ASEZ the Church of God University Student Volunteer Group was invited to the 68th UN Civil Society Conference held for three days from August 26, 2019.
Around the end of July 2019, 540 members from the Church of God University Student Volunteer Group [ASEZ] and Church of God Young Adult Worker Volunteer Group [ASEZ WAO] flew to 84 cities around the world to help their neighbors in the big world and furthermore preserve the earth, which is home to life.
ASEZ University Student Volunteer Group performs volunteer services without a break, whether during semesters or vacations. During the winter vacation in January 2019, more than 420 Korean members of ASEZ went to 67 cities in 36 countries, and carried out activities to preserve the environment and improve welfare, in partnership with people from all walks of life such as local university students, church members, local citizens, environment/welfare experts, and public institutions and university personnel.
In commemoration of the 70th Anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, ASEZ the World Mission Society Church of God University Student Volunteer Group held Human Rights Day promotional campaigns at 146 campuses in 14 countries from December 6 to 13, 2018.
ASEZ WAO, the World Mission Society Church of God’s Young Adult Worker Volunteer Group, is carrying out different types of activities in many places of the world to improve the worsening environment and increase people’s awareness of it. On Sunday, October 7, 2018, the members became likeminded to perform volunteer services.
The Japan Islands suffered from various disasters throughout this summer. Japan was hit by Typhoons Prapiroon, Cimaron, and Jebi in succession, and a 6.7-magnitude earthquake occurred in Hokkaido. On August 30, the members from the Church of God gathered in the cities such as Tokyo and Osaka to help the victims with Mother’s love and set off for Kurashiki, Okayama-ken.
The volunteer services carried out by ASEZ University Student Volunteer Group & ASEZ WAO Young Adult Worker Volunteer Group from the World Mission Society Church of God in many places of the world during their vacations create good changes.
ASEZ WAO the World Mission Society Church of God Young Adult Worker Volunteer Group carried out large-scale environmental cleanups in 175 countries. Over 5,000 members participated in the worldwide environmental cleanup campaign, which has been held mainly on holidays since early May.
ASEZ, the Church of God university student volunteer group making efforts to preserve the environment and raise people’s environmental awareness, continued its enthusiastic activities during the winter vacation. Between January and February, the students flew to 34 cities in 23 countries and proceeded with a variety of events to exchange cultures and enlarge their experiences.
The Church of God set up a free meal service camp for earthquake victims. On December 19, 2017, General Pastor Kim Joo-cheol delivered a relief fund to Pohang City.
