In the first month of the new year 2012, the Student Orchestra members, who deliver the love of God through their beautiful performances, gathered together to participate in the “6th Winter Music Camp for the Student Orchestra.” This music camp was held in the Siheungdong Education Building from January 11 to 18.
Around 70 student members from around the country attended the camp to improve their knowledge and skills as performers, and they also prepared for the “Church of God Student Orchestra Concert Tour” to be held in February.

During the camp, Mother visited the student members to encourage them. She reminded them of the importance of unity, and asked them to try their best to fulfill their mission as the gospel performers. Engraving the words of Mother in their hearts, the orchestra members practiced hard in unity of their sounds and their minds as well, so they could display the glory of Elohim God.
On the last day of the camp, the students invited the pastoral staff of their local Church and presented their performance which they had practiced for a week. They played six songs including the “Light Cavalry Overture” and “All You, Pass Thru the Red Sea”—a New Song. The audience gave them a loud and big applause for their magnificent and powerful performance, and they in turn responded to the audience’s acclamations with the performance of the song titled “Longing for Mt. Kumkang.”

After watching their performance carefully, their guidance teachers conveyed their impressions, saying, “It was really amazing to see them playing such high level music so perfectly after just one week of practice. We hope that they will try even harder to improve their God-given talents, having a sense of mission.”
After the performance, the students reaffirmed their determination, saying, “While being considerate of one another and conceding to each other in order to create the sound of unity, we’ve come to learn how to be united. By praying and practicing harder, we want to present a touching and heartwarming performance to many people at the concert to be held during our spring break.”
The Student Orchestra will hold a concert for teenagers by visiting some cities—Seongnam, Seoul, Incheon, Suwon and Daegu this February.
