The 60th Overseas Visiting Group

  • Nation | Korea
  • Date | August 25, 2013
In the beginning of autumn when the heat wave just passed, visitors who were pleasant like a cool breeze announcing the change of season came into the arms of New Jerusalem Mother. On August 25, about 140 members of the 60th Overseas Visiting Group entered Korea from 62 churches in 14 countries―mainly from Nepal.

Mother warmly welcomed the members who flew to Her like clouds and like doves according to the prophecies, and blessed them, saying, “Since you’ve come from distant countries, learn the words of the truth hard so that you can become great prophets who will give food of life diligently when you go back.” The 60th Overseas Visiting Group mostly consisted of adults and young adults who are in their 20s–40s and leading the gospel work with great devotion.

While they stayed in Korea, their schedule was focused on the Bible study which progressed every day at the Dongbaek Training Institute, along with some time for cultural experience. The overseas members sharpened the sword of God’s words through the Bible study, and their spiritual realization deepened when they retraced the footsteps of Heavenly Father and Mother by visiting the Church of God History Museum, the Nakseom Church in Incheon, the Gwanak Church and the Dongdaemun Church in Seoul and so on.

The group visited the Elohim Training Institute and the Okcheon Go&Come Training Institute and enjoyed the beautiful scenery of Korea. Through the time for cultural experience, which was prepared one day before they returned to their countries, the overseas members sang praise to Elohim God both in Korean and their native languages. In return, Korean members comforted them with chamber music ensemble and a male quartet.

The members from Nepal, which is located high in the Himalayas, were given a special time to see the sea at a coastal wharf in Incheon and at Wangsan Beach. In Korea, they could experience the truth of the Bible and the love of Mother, which are deep and wide like the sea. They returned to their countries, being determined to become the “fishers of men” (Mt 4:19) who will lead many people to God.
