“Go and Make Disciples of All Nations”

  • Nation | South Korea
  • Date | March 07, 2010
In this age of the prophecy, when the glory of Elohim is being spread throughout the whole world, the “10th Foreign Language Bible Preaching Contest” to present a clear vision for world evangelism to the members and to help them develop the ability to speak a foreign language was held at the Okcheon Go&Come Training Institute on March 3. Over 3,200 members, who were preparing for either long-term or short-term missions, participated in this event and prepared for a powerful take-off towards the world.

Around noon, the worship service started. Mother gave thanks to Father for giving His children the mission of saving the world and the power of the Holy Spirit, and asked them to “preach the Passover, the truth of life, to people not only in Korea but also overseas and save all the souls in this disastrous age when disasters are occurring ceaselessly in various places.” She also blessed Her children, saying, “Accomplish the mission of ten talents fully by making disciples of all nations (Mt 28:19-20).

General Pastor Joo-cheol Kim emphasized that the secret to the success of the gospel is “obedience” that comes from faith, saying, “Those who go out powerfully into the world without hesitation according to Christ’s command, ‘Go and make disciples of all nations,’ will be able to accomplish great goals of the gospel, jumping over the barriers of language and culture.” He also urged the members to display the power of salvation concentrated in their hearts throughout the world, as the workers of the new covenant who are ready, both physically and spiritually.

After the worship service, there was an educational program about the spirit of faith and mindset that the self-supporting overseas mission workers should have. Then the Bible Preaching Contest in English and Chinese began at the main building. The participants demonstrated their enthusiasm for world evangelism to the fullest by preaching the truth seriously and confidently as if they were in the actual mission field.

In the Theological Seminary and the Auditorium of the Institute, there was a basic education program for 12 foreign languages which included Spanish, Hindi, French, German and Russian. The members paid careful attention to the program. While learning the pronunciation and grammar of each language systematically from the teaching staff, they became more interested in the foreign languages which had been hard for them to learn.

2,000 years ago, the apostles received the gift of speaking foreign languages through the Holy Spirit of the former rain, so that the doors for them to preach the gospel to the Gentiles were opened. In this age, the members have fully received confidence in a foreign language and a burning enthusiasm like that of the Apostle Paul through the Holy Spirit of the latter rain which Heavenly Mother gives. After the event, they confirmed their firm determination, saying, “Now is the best time to accomplish the dream of world evangelism. We will go to all nations that are mourning because of disasters and let them know the salvation and love of Heavenly Mother, so that the gospel will be quickly fulfilled.”
