The Feast of Tabernacles, the last feast among the seven feasts of three times, had arrived. On October 22 (the 15th day of the seventh month in the sacred calendar), the members who had been cleansed on the Day of Atonement held the Sacred Assembly of the Feast of Tabernacles, on which they would be clothed with the Holy Spirit of the latter rain, with joy and excitement.

The Feast of Tabernacles originated from the event that the people of Israel, who were moved by the grace of God, who forgave their sin of worshiping the golden calf which was an idol and gave them the second tablets of the Ten Commandments, willingly brought more than enough materials for the building of the tabernacle, where the Ten Commandments would be kept, with gratitude to God. In the Old Testament times, the people made booths with branches from various trees, and they lived in the booths while rejoicing together for a week. In the New Testament times, this feast is fulfi lled through the preaching movement to gather God’s people represented as trees and materials for the tabernacle (Lev 23:33-44; Exodus 35 and 36; Jer 5:14; Eph 2:20-22).

Mother poured out the blessing of the Holy Spirit like a waterfall upon Her children, so that all their efforts in the gospel would bring forth good fruit and they would be able to accomplish the Ten Talent Mission in this time of spiritual harvest. She also prayed that the glorious work of completing the heavenly sanctuary by finding all the members of the heavenly family scattered throughout the world would be accomplished quickly.

General Pastor Joo-Cheol Kim said in his sermon, “2,000 years ago, Jesus cried out with a loud voice, ‘Receive the water of life,’ on the last day of the Feast of Tabernacles, which commemorates the work of building the tabernacle. This represents that Heavenly Mother, the reality of the Most Holy Place, gives us the water of life in this prophetic age of the Feast of Tabernacles.” Additionally, he emphasized that God’s people should find Mother accomplishing the salvation of human beings through the Feast of Tabernacles. Then he urged the members, saying, “Let us convey the joy of salvation through Mother to the whole world by boldly proclaiming Heavenly Mother to all nations, believing that the Holy Spirit always works through us,” and he hoped that the Preaching Week of the Feast of Tabernacles would be a joyful and happy festival when the members could preach Mother to their hearts’ content (Jn 7:2, 37-39; Rev 22:17; Zec 14:7-8; Gal 4:26).

After the worship service, Mother planted faith in the hearts of Her children, saying, “It is impossible to accomplish the gospel with men’s ability, but it is possible by the power of God Almighty,” and She repeatedly bestowed the blessing of the Holy Spirit upon Her children. She also hoped that they would experience the joy of gathering good fruit into the heavenly barn by praying more earnestly and putting all their minds into preaching during the feast.

From this day, the Preaching Week started. While asking for the power of the Holy Spirit early in the morning and in the evening, the members diligently gathered the spiritual wheat with joy. On October 29 (the 22nd day of the seventh month in the sacred calendar), the eighth and last day of the Feast of Tabernacles, the members received the Holy Spirit of the latter rain which God poured out abundantly on them by opening the fl oodgates of heaven.
