2,000 years ago, a star in the east shone in the sky over Bethlehem in Israel; Christ was born as a baby.
Christ took away the sins of the world alone and died on the cross, and He promised to come a second time. Today, so many Christians are looking up at the sky, waiting for Jesus to come again. However, Christ has already come to us. December 1st of the lunar calendar is the day when Christ came to this earth a second time.
On December 25 (December 1st of the lunar calendar), the members of the Church of God throughout the world attended the “Commemoration Service for the 94th Anniversary of the Birth of Christ Ahnsahnghong” at the same time. Christ Ahnsahnghong restored the truth of life which had been destroyed since the time of Jesus and the apostles. So, His coming is the most joyful and blessed news telling us that the way to eternal salvation has been opened. On this great and meaningful day when Heavenly Father came again, the members praised the holy love of Father who willingly put on the thorny flesh and lived a life of suffering once again.
Mother gave thanks in prayer to Father for establishing the new covenant to forgive the sins of His children through His sacrifice on the cross, and for coming to this earth again to save His children by restoring the lost truth while enduring all the hardships. She also prayed for Her children to repay Father for His grace by putting into practice His last request to preach the good news of salvation to all people in the world.
General Pastor Joo-cheol Kim explained the situation of the time of Jesus’ first coming and of His second coming; people were only looking up at the clouds in the sky without recognizing the Messiah whom they had been longing and waiting for so eagerly. In his sermon titled “I Have Already Come!” he talked about the aching heart of the Messiah who had already come as a man. Additionally, he stated, “The Messiah came according to the prophecies of the Bible as a necessary consequence—not as a coincidence, and He lived a prophetic life and walked the human path only to save us. In this age of the Holy Spirit, He has led us to Heavenly Mother, so that we can enter the way of eternal life.” Then he urged the members to proclaim the earnest voice of Heavenly Father and Mother who say to the world that does not know Them, “I have already come!” (Jn 1:1-14; Heb 9:27-28).
After the worship service, there was a celebration event that had been prepared to express gratitude to Heavenly Father. The video messages of celebration for the birth of Father Ahnsahnghong, which were sent from the Churches overseas—Asia, Africa, Europe, Oceania, South America and North America, helped the members see the light of Father’s glory shining brightly on all the continents of the world. They also listened to a sermon of Father. Yearning for Father, they gave thanks to Him with their whole heart for exposing falsehood and allowing them to overcome the power of Satan through the words of truth.
The children’s musical “Daniel and His Three Friends” cheerfully depicted the firm faith of Daniel and his three friends who only served God, not following the Babylonian king’s command to bow down and worship the golden statue. After the musical, the Messiah Orchestra played the New Songs including “The Bright, Heavenly Way” and “Let’s Go to the World,” containing the desire to let the whole world know about Christ Ahnsahnghong who came to open the bright way to the kingdom of heaven for His children.
Lastly, the Biblical play “Abraham’s Family and Heavenly Mother” came on stage. The play reminded the members that the history of Abraham’s family shows something important: Just as Sarah played the decisive role until Isaac became Abraham’s heir, so the existence of Heavenly Mother is the absolute decisive factor for our salvation. It also helped them realize the profound will of Father who suffered for such a long time until He led them to Mother.
Mother complimented and encouraged those who had prepared for the event and blessed all Her children for the new year, saying, “As God’s children, you have received the promise to enter the kingdom of heaven through Father’s great sacrifice. So, let us diligently preach the blessings of heaven to the souls around us, which is what pleases Father the most.”
94 years ago, Father Ahnsahnghong silently came to the land at the ends of the earth in the east. According to the parable of the fig tree, He got baptized in 1948 when He was 30 years old, and lived a life of preaching the gospel for 37 years in accordance with the prophecy of King David. So, Heavenly Father walked the path of prophecy to save His children, and now He says:
“I have already come!”
