In July 2012, Sejong Special Autonomous City, a multifunctional administrative city, was newly established in Korea. As soon as it was launched, there was a huge influx of people and a spiritual nest had also been prepared in a new
section of the city.
On September 4, a dedication service for the Church of God in Sejong was held, and through this it made known that it was starting anew. Located in Yeongseo-myeon (town), Sejong City, the church consists of two buildings—the temple and church housing. The temple that has three floors above ground and one underground is furnished with various facilities like a main worship hall, fellowship rooms, education rooms, a reception room, an infant nursing room, a cafeteria, etc. The church’s exterior is a perfect balance between urbaneness and comfortability of rural areas just like its surroundings where apartments and farms are in harmony and give a warm and cozy feeling.

That evening, the dedication service was offered together with the Third-day service. Mother gave thanks to Father who granted the members a new temple, and prayed that the temple would be filled with those who would display the glory of God. Complimenting the members for their efforts to complete the new temple, Mother blessed them to bear the fruit of joy and love. The members of the Sejong Zion and the members from Cheongju City, who were allowed to
have a beautiful temple through their unity and obedience and were blessed to give a dedication service in succession, sincerely thanked Mother for Her love.
During the sermon, General Pastor Kim Joo-cheol testified about God the Mother who gives Her children eternal life and love through the Bible and said, “Just as ‘Sejong City’ boasts the name of King Sejong who created Hangul the
Korean alphabet, I hope that Zion in Sejong City may exalt the glory of Heavenly Father and Mother throughout the whole world. When a hospital is built, it cures the diseases of the residents of the region, and if a school is built, it opens the bright future for the residents through education. Since Zion is established in Sejong City, please try your best to faithfully carry out the mission of the church—saving souls—by leading many souls to the way of salvation. Let us preach to Sejong City, to Korea, and to the whole world, so that all people will come to receive the blessing of the kingdom of heaven in this wonderful church where we believe in God the Father and God the Mother who give us the water of life!”
The 600 members who attended the service responded, “Amen,” to the request of the General Pastor and hoped, with one accord, that they would deliver eternal joy to people in the world.
