Christ, who was afflicted and crucified on the Feast of Unleavened Bread, was resurrected as the firstfruits of the dead three days later on Sunday, that is, the Feast of Firstfruits when the Israelites offered a sheaf of the first grain before God.

Christ's resurrection was a great event breaking the power of death and the chain of sin; as He rose from death, His disciples' grief and pain turned into joy and delight.

On Sunday, April 11, the next day of the Sabbath after the Feast of Unleavened Bread, the Church members kept the holy feast in Zion at dawn and in the morning and afternoon.

Mother prayed all the children of God might participate in the glory of resurrection and transformation, following the example of Christ. With the word, "Christ was flogged, pierced by thorns and crucified. He endured all these things and resurrected, by which we can be risen from death and enter the kingdom of heaven," Mother prayed the members might preach this glad news to the whole world.

The General Pastor Kim Joo-cheol explained the origin of the Feast of Firstfruits, that is, the Day of Resurrection and the meaning of the Christ's resurrection. Then he emphasized the last will of Christ, 'Teach all nations to obey everything I have commanded you,' reminding the members of the suffering Christ underwent until He resurrected.

Giving thanks to God, Mother prayed again that the members' spiritual eyes would be opened wide so that they might understand Christ's sacrifice and love with their hearts and believe in Him firmly and that they might realize the value of their salvation. After the worship service, Mother enlightened the members once again, saying, "Though the world is full of disasters and sins, we are in Zion, a safe and peaceful abode, where God is with us," and told them to lead many people to Zion with a thankful heart.

The members gave thanks to God Almighty, who turns their death into life and their sorrow into joy. And they resolved to spread the new covenant of eternal peace to the world. The grand sound of the choir and orchestra, praising the Holy Spirit and the Bride, filled the New Jerusalem Temple.
