God bless you, brothers and sisters of Zion all around the world! Greetings from Colombo, Sri Lanka! Following the rapid flow of prophecy, the great work of saving the whole world is quickly being fulfilled. Here in Sri Lanka, too, many precious souls realize the glory of heavenly Mother and come into Her arms.
Although there are many wise and strong people in the world, God has not chosen them but called this foolish and weak child and made me a prophet. I truly give thanks to God Elohim for blessing me with the opportunity to follow Their command, “Give warning from Me to the world!” here in Sri Lanka.
Opening the bars on doors for the gospelSri Lanka is a teardrop-shaped island country, situated off the southeastern coast of India. With beautiful natural scenery, Sri Lanka is famous for gems and it is called the “Pearl of the Orient.” However, in spite of its natural resources, most people here are in financial difficulty. It is because Sri Lanka was a colony of the European powers for a long time, and it has not yet achieved political and economic stability; the ethnic conflict in Sri Lanka continued even after its independence, and it has been embroiled in a civil war between the Sinhalese and Tamils due to differences in religion and language for over two decades.
There is a gap between the rich and the poor in every country. However, it is heartbreaking to see many people here live in difficult financial circumstances. Moreover, over 30,000 people in Sri Lanka were killed by the huge tsunami that struck the island of Sumatra, Indonesia, in December, 2004.
Still there are many destroyed or tem-porary repaired houses along the coast, as a reminder of the horrible disaster. What was more heartaching than such visible situations was that they were spiritually in a state of thick darkness.

More than 70 percent of the population in Sri Lanka are Buddhist, and the rest are Hindu, Muslim, Catholic and so on. To them religion is life itself. They have a large family. All the members of a family believe in the same religion, and almost everything in their life—birth, school, marriage and death—is conducted in accordance with the rites of their religion. Whatever religion they believe in, they put up pictures or emblems of their gods. Thus, they let others know what religion they believe in, and are devoted to their religion, burning incense before the pictures or emblems.
Since they are so deeply rooted in their religion, most people just end up listening to us even though they welcome us kindly and are willing to hear when we preach the Word to them. Unlike in Korea, it is very hard for them to change their religion because it means that they have to give up everything in their lives and start a totally new life. It is far more difficult for the people, who make a scanty living, depending on financial support from their denomination, to convert to another religion. It is so heartbreaking to see the people turn from the truth after all for the aforesaid reason even though they acknowledge the truth.
Many workers of the new covenant have come here, diligently reclaiming the barren land for the gospel and sowing the seeds of the Word. However, the fruit of the gospel has been hardly produced. It is probably because of the situation mentioned above. However, who can stop the gospel work planned by God? According to the will of the heavenly Mother who stretches out Her saving hands towards all mankind, the bars on doors for the gospel which were firmly closed have been broken down helplessly. The souls, revived with the water of life flowing out from Jerusalem, have started to be led to Zion one after another.
Towards our heavenly home where we will live foreverWhen I was sent by God to carry out the gospel ministry in Sri Lanka around January, 2007, it was a strange and unfamiliar country to me, not to mention its language. However, I believed that God had a certain will when He sent me here. Also, I heard that many missionaries were faithfully carrying out their God-given mission overseas, depending on God, in spite of their poor language ability. So, I was confident that everything would go well if I only trusted in God. As I arrived in Sri Lanka and went out to preach, I could feel more deeply that God was giving me strength every day. Even in a strange and unfamiliar place where there was no one whom I could trust or receive help from, God led the gospel work to progress and gave me the ability to preach the Word in Sri Lankan language quickly, even whose consonants and vowels sounded very strange to me at first.
There are more people who continuously study the Bible and come to Zion after fully understanding the truth than those who receive the truth right after hearing it. That’s why I can characterize the gospel in Sri Lanka as the “gospel of patience.”
Brother Asiri, who received the truth with his wife, Sister Piyumi, could not realize the Christ who came in the flesh, and he was slow to grow in faith in the beginning. However, as he continued studying the prophecies of the Bible for several months, he came to fully realize the heavenly Father and Mother and came to Zion with delight. Now, he sheds tears of yearning whenever he looks at the pictures of Mother. He leads his family and acquaintances to Zion, uniting with his wife, and preaches the Word with us on his day off. By doing so, he is now growing as a faithful gospel worker.

The most impressive thing for me in Sri Lanka is that most people have a strong desire to have their own house. They want to escape from a rented house and live in a comfortable home with their family. So, once they have bought some land, they build their house by themselves, without employing other workers. Except for the minimum living expenses, they invest all their earnings in building materials, and put much time and effort into constructing their house. So, wherever we go, we can easily find people building a house or houses which are under construction.
Whenever I look at them, I come to think, ‘How wonderful it will be if they work for their beautiful heavenly home, where they can live forever, rather than labor hard to build a house on this earth their whole lives!’ Then I become very anxious to tell them of their eternal home. Knowing my heart, God has led many souls, who are longing for an eternal heavenly home, not an earthly home, to the Colombo Zion. Many of the brothers and sisters suffer from financial difficulty. Some of them don’t have enough money to pay for transportation, so they come to Zion on foot or by bicycle; they walk or bike for more than one hour, dripping with sweat. Despite all this, they do not look downcast, but rather they are always full of joy. They say they are the richest people in the world, even though they are poor and have nothing on this earth, because they have received the blessing of eternal life by the grace of heavenly Mother and they will inherit the beautiful heavenly home which will never fall down but be everlasting. Even though the burdens of life on this earth weigh them down, they are fostering hope for heaven more earnestly.
The miraculous work to be accom-plished by the grace of MotherI can’t forget the touching emotions I felt while keeping the Passover with the new members by the grace of God. The worship place was small and the weather was so hot that I sweated as much as my ceremonial robe got wet during the service. However, my heart was full of delight and thanksgiving for the fact that I was with my brothers and sisters, more precious than the whole world. I believe that they will be great gospel workers and carry out the mission of evangelizing Sri Lanka together.
So, this is the start of the gospel work in Sri Lanka. I only thought of finding our lost brothers and sisters before, but now I will put efforts into finding gospel workers and raising them up. By doing so, I want to raise the banner of Zion in Colombo, Negombo, Kandy and all the other regions, so that the glory of our heavenly Father and Mother will be revealed throughout Sri Lanka. In addition, I want many Korean brothers and sisters to participate in the overseas mission and receive the heavenly blessings prepared by God together.
“The gospel is accomplished by the grace and power of God, not by human ability!”
This is the truth that I repeatedly realize while preaching overseas. We can experience God’s amazing work when we go out, depending only on God and trusting in His power, without fear or hesitation because of our poor ability.
This year, God has given His children a precious mission—finding the heavenly children who will purify all people around the world like the three percent of salt. This is a miraculous work that can never be accomplished by man’s ability and also a gracious work that God has entrusted to us in order to give us tremendous blessings.
We will participate in this great work with delight here in Sri Lanka, too. Above all, we will engrave the teachings of Mother in our hearts and completely change through sacrifice and love. By doing so, we will move the souls around the world and quickly accomplish the gospel work as God has planned. Uniting with the brothers and sisters in Sri Lanka who miss heavenly Mother so much in life’s difficult circumstances, I will find all of our heavenly family members scattered over Sri Lanka. Today, too, I will run with all my strength toward our heavenly home, where we will live with our heavenly Father and Mother forever and ever.
