We Are Happy People

  • Nation | Malaysia
  • Date | August 20, 2007
ⓒ 2007 WATV
It’s three o’clock in the afternoon. It rains without fail. In Malaysia where the sunshine is scorching, people are very thankful for the rain.

I think that our role is like that of the rain. As the rain cools the heated land and the people worn out by the heat, we present the eternal water of life flowing from the heavenly Jerusalem to the weary souls so that they may have hope for the future.

When I came to Malaysia two years ago, Zion was very weak. However, now in the Malaysia Church abundant good fruits are ripening under the grace of Father and Mother. When I see the brothers and sisters doing their best for the mission entrusted to them, I feel rather ashamed of myself.

If I am asked to say, in one word, about the gospel work here, I will say, “Good!” It is really very good. Before I came here, I was worried about the hot weather, but it is bearable because it is not humid.

And if we are about to preach the gospel, they come to us first, with the Bible, and ask us to share the words of the Bible together. In the beginning, we were very surprised at their attitude. The Malaysian people, who were thirsty for the truth, being stuck in the spiritual Babylon, welcomed us who were preaching the truth and came to us willingly. It was possible because God had opened their minds.

People Who Have Found Hope

The Malaysian people consist of the native Malaysians who are Muslim, Indian Malaysians who are Hindu, and Chinese Malaysians. In the time when Malaysia was a British colony, many Indians and Chinese people immigrated into this country.

Brother Fante, who has been working for the gospel since the beginning of the Kuala Lumpur Church, is a Chinese Malaysian. He lost his parents during his childhood and diligently attended a Protestant church with his Korean wife for 10 years. After he received the truth together with his wife, he played a big role in Zion with a willing and joyful heart. Although he may be tired because of his night work, he comes to Zion in the morning and preaches the gospel, and teaches the truth to the members in English, Chinese, Malaysian and Hindi. His wife is also very eager to preach the love of God. If a member comes to Zion, she first draws to him or her and delivers the true love of God very earnestly.

In the Kuala Lumpur Zion, the members have various kinds of nationality. Around Zion there are many foreigners who have come from neighboring countries. Although they have come here to escape a war or poverty, they still have hard times. The greatest difficulty is that they have to be away from their families. Bearing the cold eye of the natives, they only hope to return to their home and live together with their families.

Whenever we saw their hopeless eyes and lowered shoulders, we felt very sorry. We were eager to deliver the news about the heavenly home and the heavenly family to them so that they would live in hope for eternal heaven. Our hope was realized and many people with different nationalities have come to Zion, having the hope for heaven.

Brother Donald, who came from the Republic of South Africa, opened his big eyes even bigger when he first heard of the truth. Although he was surprised at the testimonies about heavenly Mother, he said, “Why not!” and followed the truth because the truth was testified in the Bible. Now he teaches the truth in French to the people who have come from Africa, and is concerned more about others’ souls than about himself and prays for them. He moves us very much.

Brother Jacob, who came from Nepal, was Hindu. He knew nothing about Christianity, but after hearing the new covenant from Brother Fante, he was born again as a child of God and understood all the truth very quickly. He also tries to change his character according to the teachings of Mother. He bows courteously to whomever he meets, which becomes an example to the members of Zion.

A brother who is a security guard works 12 hours a day and night shift. Even after working at night, he preaches in the morning, so that he has led many souls to the truth, and he himself feeds the Nepalese members with the spiritual food.

All the members of the Kuala Lumpur Zion are longing for their home. They also know the pain of parting and are missing their parents and brothers and sisters. Therefore, their hope for the heavenly home is more earnest, and they are very willing to help heavenly brothers and sisters.

In Malaysia there are still many people who are longing for their home and families. We’d like to deliver to them the love of the heavenly family and the hope for the heavenly home.

People Who Present Smile

Sometimes we faced difficulties because we were from different countries; culture, the ways of thinking, and languages were different. Then, the brothers and sisters, who came from Korea with self-supporting mission, helped us unite with one another. Though they were lacking in language ability, they always smiled and tried to communicate with all the members, which made Zion overflow with love and energy.

Another problem was that the workers who were able to teach the truth in each language were in want, because the members’ nationalities were very diverse. However, as time passed by, the foreign members began to teach one another; the Nepalese member taught the Nepalese people; the African preached to Africans; the Malaysian to Malaysians. They voluntarily taught the truth to the people of their countries and took care of them.

The enthusiasm of the Korean university students, who came here during their winter vacation, became a good example to us. They always smiled brightly and delivered the gospel happily, which made our native members want to preach and bear fruit. Now, they are making efforts to lead one soul at least to Zion.

As the native members have become trustworthy workers of the new covenant, we are now able to welcome whoever comes to Zion: Nepaleses, Africans, Chinese Malaysians, or Indian Malaysians. Malaysia is a field of the gospel, where God’s abundant blessings are guaranteed. What is left for us to do is only harvest good fruit.
Brothers and sisters, don’t you want to become messengers who deliver smile to the people who have lost hope? Not only Malaysia, but the whole world needs many prophets of the gospel. They wait for the members, who have enthusiasm for the gospel, to proclaim the glory of God to them.

People Who Love Heavenly Mother

Most of our brothers and sisters here are in financial difficulty. However, they always smile and do all things joyfully. The reason is simple. It’s because heavenly Mother is with them.

Sister Ruth, who is an Indian Malay, had been teaching children at a church since she converted from Hinduism to Christianity after she was married. Though she was a teacher, she couldn’t give clear answers even to simple questions asked by the children, and this made her feel heavy.

Some time later, she came to receive the truth and led all her family to God. Sister Ruth says that if she does not preach, she can’t stay. She is now preaching the truth about heavenly Mother-which is more precious than all the other truths—to people around her, saying proudly, “I am a child of heavenly Jerusalem Mother.”

Children of the heavenly Mother listened to God’s word and came to Mother no matter what religion they belonged to. Even if it was Islam or Hinduism, children of Mother came back without fail.

One of them is Brother Mike led by some university students. He came to Zion in obedience to the invitation to “come and believe in heavenly Mother and keep the new covenant and go to heaven together.” At first he hesitated to come, asking a lot of questions.

“What is it that you preach? Is it so important that you have come from afar and preach fervently like this? If I come and keep the Passover, do I have to pay money for that?”
“Certainly not! We only preach the truth through which we can go to heaven together. This is a blessing that God gives us freely.”
“I eagerly desire to keep the Passover!”
After learning about heavenly Mother and the Passover of the new covenant through the Bible, the brother said, “I eagerly desire to keep Passover!”

I had met many people who said they wanted to celebrate the Passover after they heard the truth, but it was the first time for me to meet someone who said he “eagerly” desired to keep the Passover just as Jesus had said about 2,000 years ago. Immediately he became a member of the heavenly family through the new covenant, and received the truth with a pure heart. He said he could feel how much heavenly Mother loved him. And he told that he would abandon his old ways of life and obey Mother’s words, saying, “My greatest wish is to visit Korea and see heavenly Mother as quickly as possible and to go to heaven together with my brothers and sisters.”

I didn’t really know that there were my precious brothers like him here in this far-off country. Now, his heart is filled with great enthusiasm for the gospel. He preaches God’s word anytime, anywhere, trying to find our heavenly family members. How beautiful!

Thus, our brothers and sisters in Malaysia are changing into God’s beautiful children. One day, we had a meeting outdoors to strengthen our unity. That day, Brother Jacob sang a Korean song in front of brothers and sisters, saying that he would sing that song whenever he missed heavenly Mother.

“Mother forgets all the pains of child-bearing and devotes herself to taking care of her children day and night …”

The title of the song was “Mother’s Love.” He was singing the song, memorizing the lyrics in Korean. The song moved the brothers and sisters to tears, who were always missing Mother.

Mother…. We all missed Mother so much and looked up at the sky extending beyond the valley for a while.

People Who Preach Heavenly Mother to the Whole World

The Nigerians who believe in Christianity are greatly proud to be Christians and to have much knowledge of the Bible. Brother Simon was also proud of his faith, but after receiving the truth he humbly learned the Bible and began to understand the truth. It was after learning the truth about heavenly Mother that he changed a lot.

Watching videos, he eagerly wanted to understand heavenly Mother not only with knowledge but with heart, and began to engrave Mother’s love in his heart. Now his family, who live in his hometown, also desire to realize Mother’s love and ask God to help them continually through prayers and letters. Brother Simon got rid of the old yeast without hesitation, and he believes firmly that it is only Mother the New Jerusalem who leads us to life. I’m sure that because he doesn’t stop praying, God will surely answer his prayer soon.

Brothers Shyam and Mangal from Nepal also preach heavenly Mother to their family and neighbors in their hometown. Brother Shyam tells the word of God to his family in Kathmandu, Nepal, saying to them that he has found the “true Church and the true God,” burning with the fire of the Holy Spirit. And Brother Mangal is deeply trusted by people around him because of his gentle characteristics and honest behavior. Through him many souls are coming to Zion after hearing the truth. Brother Mangal preaches Mother to whomever he meets, being proud that he is a child of Mother. He feels sorry for his family in Nepal who do not yet know about heavenly Mother, and has an earnest desire to go back to his country and preach about Mother there, wishing that a beautiful Zion will be established in his hometown, too.

As for most of brothers and sisters, their hometowns are one or two days away from Zion. In this foreign country, far from home, they have received the truth, and shine the light of the gospel in their hometown, through which the prophecy is being fulfilled. This really amazes us. Through them the gospel is being preached even to small towns and unexpected places which the members of the nearby Zion have not yet been able to visit to preach.

Though each and every one of them has a different hometown physically, they have the same hope. They all hope that the glory of heavenly Mother will quickly shine in their hometown and Zion will be established there soon. Please pray for our brothers and sisters in Kuala Lumpur that a beautiful Zion will be built in their hometown soon.

“Save the Whole World”

Our goal is to save the whole world. To achieve the great goal, we need to take pity on each individual soul with the heart of Mother. Though many souls are coming to Zion, if we are not ready to take care of them with love, the miracle of love—the saving of all mankind-will be delayed.

Brothers and sisters in Malaysia keep the love of Mother deeply in their hearts. Also, they desire to share the love. As a result, the members of our heavenly family are coming to the Kuala Lumpur Zion one after another.

We are really happy because we are loved by our heavenly Mother and are also able to deliver Her love. We will not stop running this happy race of the gospel until the love and salvation of Mother will be preached throughout Malaysia and the whole world.
