According to the prophecies of the Bible, nowadays there are many destructions occurring all over the world. The news of huge earthquakes, floods, famines, wars and diseases can be heard more than ever before. Nobody has any excuse of not being warned from God about the end time. An earthquake in Pakistan was also a big warning from God.

On October 8th, at about 8:50 a.m. there was a destructive earthquake in Pakistan centering near Islamabad, mostly in the northern area of Pakistan. A huge wave of an earthquake moved all the people in the land. Millions of people became victims from that earthquake. Our brothers and sisters live in the eastern and southern area of Pakistan. It is through the great love of our heavenly Father and Mother that the wave of earthquake centered in the northern and middle-western areas and the disaster didn’t harm any of us.

A few members live in Islamabad. The earthquake affected Islamabad, but none of them were harmed by the earthquake. This is only because of the promise of our heavenly Mother through the Passover. From that time, according to the command of our Mother many members preached to the people about the power of the Passover and lots of people received God in the Lahore Zion. But this is not all; our heavenly Mother helped the victims of the earthquake in October and November, 2005.

Mother’s love for people all over the world has no end. Our loving, tenderhearted Mother, having the great love even for the rebellious people, gave a donation to help the victims again.

It was a great task for us to deliver the gifts, given by our Mother for the earthquake victims, to the Government in two days—December 29 and 30, 2005. Our family had belief that through the love and grace of our Mother everything is possible, even the things that seem impossible.

Even though the time was short, we came together with one mind. Through Mother’s grace, the things that seemed impossible became possible. It was heard that many people had tried to bring relief supplies to the victims but on the way they were caught, robbed and killed. And the victimized areas were all covered with snow and it had become impossible to send the supplies to the victims of the earthquake. The army was the only way to bring the things to the victims through their helicopters. Through much effort, everything was prepared and we took the relief supplies to the army area in the evening. It is very hard and dangerous to enter the army area with females at night in Pakistan, and no one is allowed to take photos in that secret area. However, by the help of our Mother, the army welcomed us and received the supplies for the victims; all things were done in a good manner. We were amazed and happy because of God’s help. We could feel Mother’s grace, love and kindness in all circumstances. We are all very thankful to our Mother for taking care of the Lahore Zion during the disaster and even after the disaster.

“The big earthquake reminded us of the words of the Bible, ‘Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places’ (Matthew 24:7-8), through which we realized that all the prophecies of the Bible must be completed. God’s wrath and glory appeared. Actually, we were little lazy in keeping God’s commandments before. But now we prepare ourselves, because we know that the kingdom of God is very near. After that disaster, a brother named Daniel accepted the truth of the Passover, through which we can escape disasters. Brother Daniel said that he was very terrified by the earthquake, but from the time he listened to the good news from the Church of God, he has been very happy and encouraged because everything is according to the Bible. We give abundant thanks to God.”

“Through the horrible earthquake on October 8th, we realized the will of God. After that disaster, we felt many changes in ourselves. Now we always try to be more active in preaching the gospel, participating in the meetings and studying the preaching practice book. When our Mother helped the earthquake victims, we felt that God worried about all people of the world. We are very thankful to our heavenly Father and Mother for saving us. “We thought that the Judgment Day arrived and that we would meet our heavenly Father and Mother. At first we were scared, but soon we became happy as we realized our Mother’s grace. After that disaster, we were changed in the way we felt that we should preach more diligently. The disaster made us very sensitive. We became closer to God. Through preaching, Sister Farzana and many other sisters realized the power of the Passover. Sister Farzana said, ‘I had no hope in this world before. The earthquake in Pakistan totally shocked me. When I listened to the news of the Passover, I accepted it at once and received God. Now I have a bright hope in the Church of God.’ We are very thankful to our Mother for letting us know the truths of the Bible and be saved from this great disaster, the earthquake. We pray to our heavenly Mother not to leave us alone but to always take care of us so that we may continue preaching the gospel and fulfill the will of God.”

“God gave His commands to all people, but they didn’t obey God. The earthquake disaster on October 8th, 2005, was a warning against all men living on this earth that it is time for them to change their attitude and evil ways by giving themselves to the heavenly Father and Mother. We should learn a lesson from this kind of disaster when it happens on the earth. We are very thankful for the support from our Mother for the earthquake victims in Pakistan. “I thought that the Lord’s Day had come. After that incident, I decided to devote my life to delivering the love of God to others. I will follow the teachings of Mother and study the Bible more and more. The help of our Mother toward the earthquake victims reminded me of the words of the Bible, ‘... not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance’ (2 Peter 3:9). I am very thankful to our heavenly Father and Mother for saving us and taking care of us in all circumstances.” (Wilson Daniel)

“On that day, I saw all things moving and felt that everything would fall down. After that disaster, all people were terrified. I realized that everything is perishable. From that time I started preaching the gospel diligently, and now also I try to spend more time preaching the gospel. Through the help of our Mother, many people accepted the truth. I realized that God does not want anyone to perish.” (Ajmal)

“I thought that the end of the age was at the door. I cannot express my feelings I felt at that time. Shamefully I was very fearful because I was not strong in my faith and I felt guilty about it. After that, I realized we need to be very strong in faith. Because the last day will be more horrible than the day of the earthquake.” (Bernard)

All our brothers and sisters in the Lahore Zion were moved through the biggest disaster in Pakistan history and recognized the disaster as a sign of the end of the age. We have experienced the overflowing love of Father and Mother for Their children. Father and Mother help us in all circumstances. We also realized that the disaster is a warning against all men who do not believe and obey the living God. And through the donation and help of our Mother for the earthquake victims, we realized the love of our heavenly Father and Mother. When we prepared the relief supplies for the victims, sent from our Mother, we were united in mind; we realized the miraculous help from our Mother in all difficult situations and even more we realized that our Mother exists everywhere and always helps Her children in every circumstance.

We are very thankful to Father and Mother for being with us, guiding us and saving us from all disasters. And we give thanks to Them for helping us to preach the reality of the new covenant, our heavenly Mother, giving a warning to all people of the world. All the members of the Lahore Zion, Pakistan, will remember the great warning from God, preach the new covenant more bravely and stand firm in Zion until the last day, obeying all of God’s commandments.
