Today We Are Preparing for Going to Heaven Tomorrow

  • Nation | Nepal
  • Date | November 01, 2006
First of all, I give thanks to our heavenly Father and Mother for leading us, who were in the fear of death in this dark world, to the light of life.

As you know, God blessed the Kathmandu Church so much that it was too small for us to worship. We prayed to Father and Mother that we would worship in a bigger place. God listened to our prayers and we were able to branch out on July 1, 2006.

What was more grateful was that God gave me a mission to serve my brothers and sisters in the branch Church. I knew I was lacking in many things, so I was afraid at first, saying, “O God, I am not competent enough to care for them.” Then, I remembered that God led the Israelites through Moses who said, “O Lord, I have never been eloquent, neither in the past nor since you have spoken to your servant. I am slow of speech and tongue.”

I earnestly prayed to God, ‘Father and Mother, please let me not teach my brothers and sisters with my own thoughts, but lead them with Your will.’

Let’s Put on the Full Armor of God
When the 2nd Kathmandu Church started, there were very few people who were able to testify of the truth. The brothers and sisters were only able to say, “Come and see.” I was very anxious and asked God to give us wisdom. Then I wrote the words of truth on a piece of paper and gave it to them.

It was a big help to the members who had difficulty in testifying to the truth. Every day, except Saturday and Sunday, we studied the “Preaching Practice” from 5:30 p.m. on. And on the worship days, all the members practiced the preaching after the service.

Now, everyone preaches God’s word with great confidence. God who searches our hearts saw the members’ earnest enthusiasm and blessed us to find 100 brothers and sisters in three months.

We all give thanks and praise to our heavenly Father and Mother, who always bless us through Their great providence.

Realizing the Value of the Gospel
In Nepal, it is very difficult to land a job because of the terrible economic conditions. Even though you land a job, the employer pays you very little because there are so many people who want to work.
Under these conditions, our brothers also suffer to foster their families. Brother Resham and many other brothers work from 4 o’clock in the early morning to noon, gathering sands. In the afternoon, after they finish their work, they preach the gospel. They say they are happy to be able to preach even though their bodies are tired. Seeing them confidently preaching the truth in such difficulties, God blessed them with fruits.

One of our brothers had worked from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. before he received the truth. After he realized how valuable the gospel is, he reduced his working hours and has been preaching the new covenant from 3 o’clock in the afternoon until late at night.

He says that he cannot spend his life only earning wages when he thinks about how Father wrote the Books of Truth all night through and preached from early morning, carrying his heavy bag, and when he realizes that Mother is still walking the path of sacrifice. He also says that if he returns home before 10 o’clock at night, he feels uneasy, so he visits new comers and teaches the truth, then he can lie in bed at peace. When I see these members, who are doing their best to find our lost heavenly family members though their life is tight, they look very lovely.

Brother Indra Bahadur and Brother Buddhi Bahadur originally attended a Protestant church for a very long time. After they received the truth, they faced a lot of slander and persecution from the church, but they overcame all the hardships in the blessing of God and have led 18 people to Zion until today. Their only hope is to find all the lost brothers and sisters and go to heaven.

Putting God’s Love Into Practice
In the area where we live, water is rare, so drinking water is purchased from outside and subterranean water is used for washing and cleaning. It is difficult to carry a bucket of subterranean water on the head up to the 6th floor where our Zion is located. However, our brothers and sisters are competing with each other to carry the water. Their earnest devotion always touches my heart.

One day, a sister stumbled down the stairs. As our Mother takes care of us, the members became her hands and feet; they massaged her with oil to help her blood circulate, and earnestly prayed to Father and Mother for her recovery. The sister got well soon and realized that the members of Zion are her real family, and now delivers the love of Father and Mother with all her heart.

In the 2nd Kathmandu Zion there are many members who are making meager wages. However, they consider their spiritual brothers and sisters ahead of themselves. On a hot summer day, one member brought pears to the Church anonymously for the brothers and sisters who sweated profusely while preaching the gospel. Then, the next day, another one brought cucumbers, and the next day another one brought mangos and no one knew who brought them.

The children, who realized the love and sacrifice of Father and Mother, practice the love for the glory of God. Our 2nd Kath-mandu members are really looking forward to heaven and believe in the blessings from God, so they practice the love of God with delight. They do not reveal their own righteousness, but love their brothers and sisters, as they were taught by Father and Mother.

Let Us Establish the Kingdom of God Through the Holy Spirit of the Latter Rain
The regions of Bhaktapur and Banepa are two to four hours away from Kathmandu by bus. In Bhaktapur there are 20 members and in Banepa there are 10. The brothers and sisters living there regard God’s command-ments more precious than pure gold, so they not only attend all the worship services, but also come to the Church every day to preach together. The distance is not a problem for them. Among them, a sister, who is a nurse living in Banepa, bore three good fruits during the autumn feasts.

Like this, our brothers and sisters deliver the love of Father and Mother, regarding it as the most precious work in the world.

Now we pray that God will bless us to branch out in these two regions. We are seeking our lost brothers and sisters with a heart hotter than ever, through the work of the Holy Spirit of the latter rain which was poured down on us during the Feast of Tabernacles, so we believe that we will be able to give glad news of branching out soon to all the brothers and sisters around the world. Though our beginning is small, the kingdom of God will be surely established in the two regions because God Almighty is with us. We are firmly determined to find our lost heavenly family members, who are wandering in the darkness, and lead them into the arms of God, by shining the light of the truth with all our mind and strength.

Father and Mother, all the members of the 2nd Kathmandu Zion give thanks to You for giving us the Holy Spirit of the latter rain through the Feast of Tabernacles. Father and Mother, bless us to find all our lost brothers and sisters and go to heaven soon.
Thank You, Father and Mother!
