As the members continuously go to Samaria and to the ends of the earth day after day, the amazing and joyful news that Zion is established in a very short period of time is now pouring in from all around the world. To feed the fi re of world evangelism, the “11th Foreign Language Bible Preaching Contest” was held at the Okcheon Go&Come Training Institute on July 4. Over 3,000 members who had the desire to go on mission trips overseas, including 2010 Self-Supporting Mission Teams, participated in the contest andstrengthened their enthusiasm for world evangelism.

Around noon, the worship service began. Mother awakened Her children, saying, “Now the prophecies of the Bible are being rapidly fulfilled. So, it’s time to wake up and preach the gospel of life to the whole world.” And She asked them to accomplish world evangelism as great gospel workers, keeping in step with the prophecies, saying, “Though your ability to speak a foreign language may be poor, if you go toward the world with an anxious and earnest mind full of love like that of Father, He will give you ability and open doors for you.” Additionally, She encouraged Her children to save many souls diligently, so that they would be able to welcome Father with joy while staying awake (Mk 13:32-37).

General Pastor Joo-Cheol Kim said, “The best way to learn a foreign language is to deliver the Word directly to foreigners.” And he expressed his desire for the participants to take the event as a starting point for going toward the world boldly with a defi nite goal to save all souls, rather than just to consider it as a competition of foreign language skills. In addition, he said, “As great prophets in this age, let us go to all nations and teach them the Word, possessing an unyielding spirit of faith and passion and relying only on God” (Mt 28:19-20).

After the service, the Dispatching Ceremony for Summer Self-Supporting Mission Volunteers 2010 was held. 1,100 members of the self-supporting mission teams shouted out the slogan loud in unison, through which they showed their firm determination to preach the gospel of the heavenly kingdom to the whole world.

Finally, the main event of the “Foreign Language Bible Preaching Contest” began. The participants were divided into 211 groups, and the contest was conducted in even more categories than ever before—20 foreign languages including English, Spanish, French, Russian, Portuguese, Chinese, Japanese, Hindi, Polish, Italian, etc.

The participants practiced preaching seriously before the contest, and when the contest started, they gave it their best. Some of them fully demonstrated their language skills they had improved, while others somewhat faltered and stammered. However, all the participants preached the Bible with confidence. Their voices, looks and gestures showed their firm determination for the gospel.

While the language education was conducted in groups after the contest, the results were calculated. 38 members who achieved excellent results in each language category went on stage to receive awards from Mother. A winner, who was planning to go for the self-supporting mission, expressed his aspiration, saying, “I’m going to a region where the gospel has not yet been preached. Actually, I’ve been worried because I’m really not familiar with the language and I don’t have enough time, either. But I’ve prepared diligently, believing that God will give me ability if I try my best. I feel that this award is God’s promise to give abilities and blessings to our mission team. Trusting the promise of Father and Mother, I will go and establish Zion there for sure.”

Mother encouraged Her children who had worked hard for the gospel and had also studied the foreign languages in their spare time in order to save the world. She also blessed them by saying, “Preach the Word earnestly by using a foreign language you’ve studied and learned, instead of just keeping it to yourself like stagnant water. Then you will be given greater abilities and bear abundant fruits, so that you will all receive many rewards in heaven.”

Now the gospel work is getting into full swing from the east to the west. The world is waiting for the prophets to deliver the love of Elohim. So, the prophets of the new covenant are getting busier and busier. Being clothed with the power of the Holy Spirit and the gift of speaking in foreign languages, they will shine the glory of Jerusalem brightly all over the world.
