On May 8, Gyeongbuk West Association had an event for senior citizens, reminding the grace of their parents. They visited Hwashin Seniors Home in Gumi city and presented red carnations and offered lunch to the seniors. Both of them felt the love and warmth of family in May, the Month of Family.

Many of village officials attended the event, including the village head of Gwangpyeong-dong and the agricultural cooperative association president. Everyone at the event had a great and happy day. Elder Gwang-Ho Lee from the Gumi Church showed his will to keep holding events for seniors, saying, I give thanks to God for letting us have a chance to show respect to seniors and spread the love of God.
Seniors began to gather from 10a.m. and soon filled the Seniors Home. The volunteers smiled all the time even though they were very busy offering food and checking if there was any inconvenience or if they needed more food and so on. They asked the seniors passing by to have lunch at the event place, and offered the neighbors drinks. A member who was preparing food said, I prepared all these, thinking of my own parents at my hometown. I am very happy as if I repaid for the love of my parents who always give me love. I will practice Gods love too, like this.

All members engraved in their hearts the grace of their parents and practiced Gods love this day. It ended at about 2p.m. The members said that they would continue their good deeds, We will practice Gods love all the time with the mindset we had today, and try hard to make Gumi city full of Gods grace.
