What Kind of God Is Your God?

In this harvest age, the work of going to Samaria and the ends of the earth, making disciples of all nations and preaching the gospel to them is now being accomplished quickly according to the prophecy. Consequently, God allows us to spread the gracious fragrance of Zion all the more.

Today, many people claim to believe in God, but in actuality they believe in a different god than the God whom the Bible preaches. Nevertheless, they think that they believe in the true God, so they ask the members of Zion who preach the gospel, “What kind of God is your God?”

As God’s witnesses, we should let them know why our God is the only true God. God is light. So, the more we preach God, the more concerned the world becomes about God. And as we study the Bible more and more, the power of darkness will be broken down and the glory of God will shine even brighter.

Our God whom the Bible testifies about

If anyone asks us, “What kind of God is your God?” we must be able to clearly answer, “As the Bible testifies, our God existed in spirit form in the age of the Old Testament, came in the fl esh in the age of the New Testament, and appeared on this earth in the fl esh as Father and Mother in the age of the Holy Spirit—the last age.”

The reason why we study the Bible is to find God who will save us and to come to His saving grace. The Bible describes all the aspects of our God along with His works. Our God created the heavens and the earth in the beginning, and when He released the Israelites, He poured out the ten plagues upon Egypt and saved them through the Passover. Since God loves us so much, He hid the light of His glory and came to this earth in human form, so that He could come closer to us. Even though many people who claimed to believe in God opposed, slandered and ridiculed Him, He did not care about it at all, and only endeavored to lead His children to the way of salvation.

The God has come to this earth as the Spirit and the Bride in these last days—the age of the Holy Spirit, and They are calling all mankind to come. The 66 books of the Bible, from Genesis to Revelation, describe God in various ways—as the God of power, the God of mercy, or the God of love.

Jn 5:39-40 “You diligently study the Scriptures because you think that by them you possess eternal life. These are the Scriptures that testify about me, yet you refuse to come to me to have life.”

Since the Bible testifies about God, if we want to know about God, we need to study the Bible diligently. ‘God sacrificed Himself for us so much. He even bore the pain of the cross willingly to atone for our sins.’ By confirming this fact through the Bible, we need to have communion with God, and should fill our hearts with the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, which comes through the Bible.

It is the Bible that testifies about God, and we must come to God to receive eternal life, salvation and the kingdom of heaven. Nevertheless, if one does not believe in God whom the Bible testifies about, he is no different than the one who does not want eternal life. How can the person believe in God while ignoring the Bible which explains in detail about God?

Jn 5:41-47 “. . . How can you believe if you accept praise from one another, yet make no effort to obtain the praise that comes from the only God?"But do not think I will accuse you before the Father. Your accuser is Moses, on whom your hopes are set. If you believed Moses, you would believe me, for he wrote about me. But since you do not believe what he wrote, how are you going to believe what I say?”

When God came to this earth in the flesh 2,000 years ago, He expressed His anxious heart like this to those who rejected God with their religious views embellished with the vain conceits of the world. “Since you do not believe what Moses, whom you respect the most, wrote―namely, the Bible, although I preach the words of eternal life to you―no matter how good they are, how are you going to believe Me?” Only the person who listens to God’s voice through the Bible can receive God.

Our God, the Maker of heaven and earth

Our God is the Maker of all things. If people ask you, “What kind of God is your God?” then ask them back, “What kind of god is your god?” If they answer, “Our god also made all things,” then ask them, “Is your god the Elohim, God the Father and God the Mother?” If they answer, “No,” you must let them know clearly that their god is not the God whom the Bible testifies about.

Ge 1:1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.

Here God is described as the plural form “Elohim” in the Hebrew language.

In other words, it means that God the Father and God the Mother created the heavens and the earth.

God’s work of creating the heavens and the earth is a great miracle that cannot be compared to any miracles which people in the world admire. Even at this moment, the earth is spinning at a tremendous speed, but none of the people living on the earth fall or tumble down. It is our Elohim who created all things with wondrous and mysterious wisdom beyond measure and allows us to experience such miracles every day.

Ge 1:26-27 Then God said, “Let us make man in our image, in our likeness, and let them rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air, over the livestock, over all the earth, and over all the creatures that move along the ground.” So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them.

The God who said, “Let us make man in our image, in our likeness,” made the heavens and the earth and created human beings. Since both male and female were created in the image of God, there must be the male image of God and the female image of God.

If we call the male image of God “Father,” we should call the female image of God “Mother.” Our God described in the Bible is God the Father and God the Mother. Most Christians claim that their god made all things. However, the Bible shows us that the God who made all things and created human beings is not only God the Father.

In order to receive salvation and eternal life, we must meet the God whom the Bible testifies about. The God is Elohim, our spiritual Father and Mother. We must believe this firmly and preach the true God to numerous poor souls in this world who do not yet know God correctly.

Our God has come in the flesh

Our God did not always stay in heaven, but also came to this earth in the flesh.

In the book of John, let’s see how God appeared on this earth 2,000 years ago.

Jn 1:1, 14 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. . . . The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the One and Only, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.

The Bible testifies that the God, who created all things in the beginning, came to this earth in the flesh. To save us, God our Father came as the Son in the flesh, and established the truth of the new covenant.

The God, who used the name “Jesus” when He came to this earth 2,000 years ago, is our God who worked in the name of Jehovah 3,500 years ago. He is God the Almighty who rained down manna from heaven upon the Israelites to eat, who made the sun stop in the middle of the sky and delay going down about a full day when Joshua and his army fought the Amalekites, and who promised to heal Hezekiah and add 15 more years to his life when he was became ill and was at the point of death and made the shadow of the sun go ten degrees backward as a sign of that promise.

If anyone asks you, “What kind of God is your God?” ask them this question: “Has your god come to this earth in the flesh?” If their god has never come in the flesh, he is not the God who wrote the Bible. Our God is the God who has come in the flesh. Although Jesus was crucified by the religious leaders in those days, He rose from the dead on the third day and ascended to heaven from the Mount of Olives 40 days after His resurrection. On the Passover—the day before He was crucified on the cross, Jesus said, “This bread is My flesh, and this wine is My blood. Eat this bread and drink this wine, so you can have eternal life.”

Ask people if their god is the God who told us to keep the Passover. If their god did not command them to celebrate the Passover, he is not the God who wrote the Bible, and if he did not write the Bible, he is not the God who made all things. Our God is the God who told us to keep the Passover. When God led the Israelites out of Egypt 3,500 years ago, He told them the truth of the Passover, and 2,000 years ago He eagerly wanted to celebrate the Passover with His disciples in Mark’s room and proclaimed it as the new covenant. In this age of the Holy Spirit, too, God has led His children to Zion through the truth of the New Covenant Passover, so that they can find Heavenly Father and Mother.

Our God is the God whom the Bible clearly testifies about. So there is a great difference between the god whom the people of the world believe in and the God we believe in. Any god who is different from the God of the Bible is nothing but a figment of their own imagination. Let us teach the people, who believe in false gods, about the true God. If we teach them about God correctly, they will come to eternal life by meeting the God who created all things and has been leading the work of salvation.

Now, we should all become the watchmen of the truth who can correctly distinguish between the wheat and the weeds, shouldn’t we? It is wrong not to say that a lie is a lie and that the truth is the truth. Since God has clearly revealed the truth and falsehood, we should be able to confidently preach and testify about God with the 66 books of the Bible.

Our God has come as the Spirit and the Bride

Our God has made us become one with Him through the Passover of the new covenant and let us inherit His flesh and blood which contain His holy love and sacrifice. He has also made known to us that we have come to participate in eternal life through the new covenant, as the “rest of the woman’s offspring” (Rev
12:17).

Gal 4:26-28, 31 But the Jerusalem that is above is free, and she is our mother. For it is written: “Be glad, O barren woman, who bears no children; break forth and cry aloud, you who have no labor pains; because more are the children of the desolate woman than of her who has a husband.” Now you, brothers, like Isaac, are children of promise. . . . Therefore, brothers, we are not children of the slave woman, but of the free woman.

The God who said, “All the 66 books of the Bible testify about Me,” has not only testified about God the Father but also let there be the records of God the Mother. He has also made us the children of promise through God the Mother.

So the Bible calls us the “children of the free woman.”

Through the 66 books of the Bible, God manifested His various aspects, and showed Apostle John the vision of God coming as the Spirit and the Bride in the last days.

Rev 22:17 The Spirit and the bride say, “Come!” And let him who hears say, “Come!” Whoever is thirsty, let him come; and whoever wishes, let him take the free gift of the water of life.

Our God appeared as the spiritual Father in the Old Testament times, and came in the flesh as the Son in the New Testament times—the age of the Son, and has appeared in the flesh as the Father and Mother in these last days—the age of the Holy Spirit. If Genesis 1, the first chapter of the Bible, suggests a question, Revelation 22 which is the last chapter of the Bible provides the answer. In Genesis 1, Elohim [Gods] said, “Let us make man in our image, in our likeness.” At the end of the Bible, God the Father and God the Mother who said, “Let us . . . ,” appear on this earth as the Spirit and the Bride to give mankind the water of life. This correct answer is written in Revelation.

What kind of God is your God?

The knowledge of God is the most important key to the door of the heavenly kingdom. When people recognized Jesus merely as a prophet, Jesus asked His disciples, “Who do you say I am?” Peter answered, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.” Then Jesus gave him the keys of the kingdom of heaven (Mk 16:13-20).

God has also given us definite authority to open the door of the kingdom of heaven, just as He gave it to Peter. For those who have found God the Father and Mother and understood Them correctly, an eternal delight has been prepared, which they will enjoy with God in the everlasting kingdom of heaven for ever and ever.

Look at every aspect of God through the Bible, who has carried out the administration of redemption for us, His children, for 6,000 years. The Bible has been give to us so that we can testify about God. Our God is Elohim the Almighty who wrote the 66 books of the Bible, created all things, and came to this earth in the flesh to save us. The Almighty God who created the heavens and the earth, who divided the Red Sea and drowned the entire Egyptian army in the waters, has come to this earth in the weak human flesh, who apparently seems unable to do anything.

In the Bible, we have to find our Father and Mother who have loved us to the point of death; They were rejected by men, took up our infirmities, and bore our iniquities; They were even treated as sinners and died in the place of sinners. As children of Zion, let us understand God correctly and follow Father and Mother with gratitude wherever They lead us.

Surely, They are our Gods who are with us always, to the very end of the age.

Our Elohim who created the heavens and the earth, who came in the flesh and willingly endured the pain of the cross for us, and who has come to this earth as Father and Mother just as recorded in Genesis! Let us boast about our God, the God of love, before all people, so that each and every one of us can bear at least ten fruits and accomplish the Ten Talent Mission this year.
