These days, the mass media like newspapers and television are pouring out shocking and depressing news every day, in addition to gloomy outlook for the future. Experts in every field are concerned about the human future that is becoming gloomier day by day because of accumulated problems such as war, famine, various diseases, abnormal climate change, collapse of the world economy, and loss of humanity. And they are trying to find solutions, but it is not easy.

In fact, the future of mankind is in our hands. Some of us may doubt if we will really be able to perform such a great task, but that is the will of God. God has entrusted us with the historic mission to save human beings who are in danger and to determine the fate of the world. It is God's will that the people of Zion should lead all human beings to the bright and glorious future by quickly going to the people, who are living without knowing their future, and telling them how to receive eternal life and salvation.

Let them listen to Moses and the Prophets

Let's see how great and important our God-given mission is, through the parable of the rich man and Lazarus.

Lk 16:19-29 ". . . The time came when the beggar died and the angels carried him to Abraham's side. The rich man also died and was buried. In hell, where he was in torment, he looked up and saw Abraham far away, with Lazarus by his side. So he called to him, ‘Father Abraham, have pity on me and send Lazarus to dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue, because I am in agony in this fire.' But Abraham replied, ‘Son, remember that in your lifetime you received your good things, while Lazarus received bad things, but now he is comforted here and you are in agony. . . . He answered, ‘Then I beg you, father, send Lazarus to my father's house, for I have five brothers. Let him warn them, so that they will not also come to this place of torment.' Abraham replied, ‘They have Moses and the Prophets; let them listen to them.' "

In the above parable of Jesus, Abraham represents God the Father who is our spiritual Father. The rich man was in torment in hell and begged God to send Lazarus back to the earth and to let him tell his brothers, who were living on the earth, what the situation in the spiritual world was, so that they would not come to hell. Then God said that He had already sent Moses and the Prophets to deliver the Word to them, so they would have to listen to them.

The Bible tells us that after physical death there is a spiritual world which is divided into two parts—heaven and hell. Those who do not listen to God's word preached by the prophets will end up in the eternal fire of hell like the rich man.

That is why God has entrusted us with the mission of a prophet to preach the way of salvation to human beings. However, people do not understand it or even try to know about it because they have never experienced it.

In this situation, we need to think if it is right for us, who have authority great enough to decide the future of mankind, to keep silent. How can human beings escape the punishment of hell if the prophets remain silent with their mouths shut? If we neglect our mission, the future of humankind will be gloomy and hopeless, but if we carry out our mission with our whole heart and soul, the human future will be bright.

The mission entrusted to God's called ones

Mt 4:17-22 From that time on Jesus began to preach, "Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is near." As Jesus was walking beside the Sea of Galilee, he saw two brothers, Simon called Peter and his brother Andrew. They were casting a net into the lake, for they were fishermen. "Come, follow me," Jesus said, "and I will make you fishers of men." At once they left their nets and followed him. Going on from there, he saw two other brothers, James son of Zebedee and his brother John. They were in a boat with their father Zebedee, preparing their nets. Jesus called them, and immediately they left the boat and their father and followed him.

Jesus called His disciples to entrust them with the future of mankind and let them carry out the mission of the apostles. It was not only Peter, Andrew, James and John who were entrusted with the future of mankind. God has entrusted the mission of the last prophets to us, who are living in the age of the Holy Spirit when the fate of human beings will finally be decided.

Mt 28:18-20 Then Jesus came to them and said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."

"Preaching the truth of life and the good news about Mother the New Jerusalem" is not just to convey knowledge to people, but to let them know about the practical issues which are directly related to the future of their own soul and the future of all mankind as well.

There are three types of work in this world: the work we must do, the work we may or may not do, and the work we must not do. Preaching the gospel is the work that those who are called and sent by God must do, and it is the greatest mission in the world.

When God told Jonah to go to Nineveh and tell them to repent, he felt afraid at first but he finally carried out the mission and saved many people in the city of Nineveh, so their future could be bright (Jnh 3:1-10). In this age, we are preaching the gospel to Samaria and to the ends of the earth; we are carrying out the same kind of mission as Jonah's.

We are entrusted not only with the mission of preaching but also with the fate of the world. Since this great mission is put into our hands, the future of humankind will be bleak if we remain silent, but it will be bright with the light of God's glory if we display the glory of Father and Mother and shout it out loud. We should ask God for the blessings and power of the Holy Spirit every day so that the gospel will be preached to all countries and regions of the world.

The human future prophesied in the Bible

God has predicted the future of mankind in the same way through many verses of the Bible.

Zep 1:14-18 "The great day of the LORD is near—near and coming quickly. Listen! The cry on the day of the LORD will be bitter, the shouting of the warrior there. That day will be a day of wrath, a day of distress and anguish, a day of trouble and ruin, a day of darkness and gloom, a day of clouds and blackness, a day of trumpet and battle cry against the fortified cities and against the corner towers. I will bring distress on the people and they will walk like blind men, because they have sinned against the LORD. Their blood will be poured out like dust and their entrails like filth. Neither their silver nor their gold will be able to save them on the day of the LORD's wrath. In the fire of his jealousy the whole world will be consumed, for he will make a sudden end of all who live in the earth."

The Bible already gave a warning a long time ago that the day burning like a furnace would come and everything would be destroyed by fire (Mal 4:1-3; 2 Pe 3:8-13). As that day was approaching, Jesus gave His disciples the mission of the fishers of men to save all human beings, and in this age He has also entrusted us with the blessed mission to go to all people and to convey the hope of the eternal heavenly kingdom and the good news of salvation to them before the day of distress and anguish comes.

Zep 2:1-3 Gather together, gather together, O shameful nation, before the appointed time arrives and that day sweeps on like chaff, before the fierce anger of the LORD comes upon you, before the day of the LORD's wrath comes upon you. Seek the LORD, all you humble of the land, you who do what he commands. Seek righteousness, seek humility; perhaps you will be sheltered on the day of the LORD's anger.

We may not have much time left to save human beings, so we have to save them right now. God has entrusted us with the holy mission to lead the world to repentance and salvation before He executes the things He has warned them about. But this is not really an easy task; for most people regard the reliable prophecies of God as hypotheses and do not realize them because they have never experienced it before. Many people turn away from the hand of salvation we are extending, and some even ridicule and despise us who preach the gospel.

However, we, who have been entrusted with such a great mission, should take pity on the people of the world and go to them boldly and without fear. What would have happened to the 120,000 people in Nineveh if Jonah had disobeyed God's will and remained silent to the end? Would they have been able to know God and be saved?

It depends on us whether or not human beings can be saved; more people can be saved or not, according to how much we preach. Since God has entrusted the fate of mankind to us, we must not despise our mission.

Carry out the duty of an evangelist, being clothed with the power of God

An important mission is entrusted to an important person. No commander in the battlefield chooses a slow walking person for the important task of conveying an urgent message, nor does he choose a person with bad eyes for the mission to watch an enemy's every move. Likewise, God does not give a mission to a person unqualified for it. Through the fact that God has called us for the great work of saving human beings, we can understand how much God values us.

1 Th 2:3-4 . . . On the contrary, we speak as men approved by God to be entrusted with the gospel. We are not trying to please men but God, who tests our hearts.

As children of Elohim, we absolutely believe in Heavenly Father and Mother and have the spirit which resembles that of God. That's why God has entrusted us with this great mission. So we should make every effort to fully resemble God in love and sacrifice as well. Since the Bible says that we are approved by God to be entrusted with the gospel, let us take one step after another to save the world, starting with saving one soul by carrying out the mission of preaching the gospel with the proper mindset and attitude.

2 Ti 4:1-5  In the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who will judge the living and the dead, and in view of his appearing and his kingdom, I give you this charge: Preach the Word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage—with great patience and careful instruction. For the time will come when men will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear. They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths. But you, keep your head in all situations, endure hardship, do the work of an evangelist, discharge all the duties of your ministry.

"Discharge all the duties of an evangelist and preach the Word." This is God's strict command given not only to the saints of the early Church, but to all of God's children who will inherit salvation in the eternal kingdom of heaven.

When God gives us a mission, He gives us ability as well. We should not put ourselves down with the thought that we are unable to carry out this great mission because we are just ordinary people with jobs, because we are weak women, or because we are too young or too old. God entrusted the humble fishermen with the mission to save mankind and gave them ability to do it. In God, age is not a problem at all. Samuel was called by God when he was very young, the boy David defeated Goliath whom even adults were afraid of, and Moses, at the age of 80, brought the Israelites out of Egypt and led them during their 40-year journey in the wilderness. Whether they were old or young, the work of the Holy Spirit truly occurred.

In preaching, our mindset is more important than our methods, and the results depends on how we follow and practice the will of God. Since God has entrusted us with the authority to determine the future of mankind, He gives us greater ability than that given to Moses, and also grants greater strength than that given to Samuel and David, even to the young.

God has entrusted us with the mission to teach people to come to Zion without delay and to receive Jerusalem Mother. So we should not just sit back and hope that people will be saved, but we have to make every effort until all human beings receive the truth. Like Jesus Christ who was willing to even endure the pain of the cross for human beings, we must also be ready to make any kind of effort and sacrifice. This is the proper attitude that enables us to save the world.

Set a true goal in life

It is important to live faithfully and diligently on this earth, but we should first have a true goal, realizing why we need to live such a faithful life. Life without a goal is meaningless. However, most people set goals in life only for things that are right in front of them, and they live their lives blindly without finding any answers to life. Many people are trying to pursue wealth and glory of the world for themselves or for their family, but unfortunately their efforts mostly end up in vain. Wealth or glory cannot be a true goal in life.

Even Alexander the Great, who is called a hero in the world, could give no other answer than "death" when he was asked what he would do after conquering everything. What about us? An even more meaningful world is waiting for us. So we must not set goals only for making a living on this earth, but for the eternal kingdom of heaven. The reason why God came to this earth is also for the salvation of human beings, and God says that saving a soul is saving the world. Let us live a truly meaningful and blessed life by leading many souls to salvation, starting with our family and neighbors. And let us please and glorify Father and Mother by bearing abundant good fruit while setting a good example for others by living our lives faithfully on this earth as well.

Elohim, who have all authority in heaven and on earth, have given us the authority to decide the future of mankind and commanded us to go. They have also given us courage by saying, "Do not be afraid; I am with you and will help you always." There are still many nations and peoples that have not heard the gospel of God yet. Let us all preach the gospel to them, so that the glorious day can quickly come when all human beings will be saved. Keeping in mind again the mission given to us in this age, let us preach the glory of the New Jerusalem to the whole world as children of Elohim, so that all mankind will be saved in the arms of Heavenly Mother and enter the eternal kingdom of heaven together.
