The Wicked Cannot Inherit the Kingdom of Heaven

As the gospel of the new covenant spreads to the whole world, the spiritual blind open their eyes, the spiritual deaf hear, and the souls in the shade of death revive. How amazing and marvelous is the power of the new covenant which has been established through the blood of God’s sacrifice!

God has promised that He will surely give the forgiveness of sins and eternal life to those who believe in the new covenant and keep it, and He has become our God and made us His people through the new covenant (see Jer 31:31-34). We have been cast down to this earth and waiting for the sentence of death since we committed sin against God in heaven. So, for us, nothing can be better news than the new covenant. That’s why the new covenant is called the “good news.”

As we have received the greatest and most valuable gift for free, we should live holy and godly lives, keeping God’s commandments and remaining faithful to the Spirit and the Bride who give us the water of life (Rev 14:12; 2 Pe 3:11-13). Remembering that the lampstand of salvation might be moved from those who despise salvation they’ve received without cost, let us always seek God’s kingdom and His righteousness so that we may become worthy enough to enter the kingdom of heaven.

Satan tempts us to commit sin

Unless we have a correct knowledge of the truth, we may be deceived by the evil, commit sin and end up being punished for that. Just as Satan tempted Jesus Christ, quoting God’s words, so he tries to infuse false ideas into God’s children by perverting the words of God.

1 Co 15:33-34 Do not be misled: “Bad company corrupts good character.” Come back to your senses as you ought, and stop sinning; for there are some who are ignorant of God—I say this to your shame.

Our enemy the devil, who tempted us in heaven, sets various kinds of traps to tempt us on this earth as well. Satan and his followers try to devour our spiritual family members who have come back to Zion, the place of salvation, saying, “If you once received the forgiveness of sins, you can enter the kingdom of heaven even though you commit sin physically.” Thus, they attempt to defile good deeds of God’s people and tempt them to commit evil.

The more Satan tries to tempt us, the more we should stand firm in faith (1 Pe 5:8-9). God has never taught us to sin. On the contrary, He has instructed us not to commit sin at any moment, so that we cannot fall into destruction, being deceived by the evil.

We must not interpret the words of God on our own. Not even a stroke of God’s teachings should we neglect. As it is written, “Whoever can be trusted with very little can also be trusted with much, and whoever is dishonest with very little will also be dishonest with much” (Lk 16:10), we should respect all of God’s instructions and build our neighbors up and display the glory of God through our good deeds.

The sin of crucifying Christ again

“The new covenant takes away sins.” This implies that through the new covenant God washes away our original sin of rebellion we committed against God in heaven, being tempted by Satan, and forgives all the sins that we committed on the earth before we knew the truth while wandering aimlessly in this world. It doesn’t means that we can be forgiven for any sin we commit after receiving the truth of the new covenant. In other words, if those who have already received the truth and know God commit sin, they cannot be cleansed again. God says that He will sternly rebuke and punish those who fall away and sin after receiving the truth.

Heb 6:4-6 It is impossible for those who have once been enlightened, who have tasted the heavenly gift, who have shared in the Holy Spirit, who have tasted the goodness of the word of God and the powers of the coming age, if they fall away, to be brought back to repentance, because to their loss they are crucifying the Son of God all over again and subjecting him to public disgrace.

Heb 10:26-29 If we deliberately keep on sinning after we have received the knowledge of the truth, no sacrifice for sins is left, but only a fearful expectation of judgment and of raging fire that will consume the enemies of God. Anyone who rejected the law of Moses died without mercy on the testimony of two or three witnesses. How much more severely do you think a man deserves to be punished who has trampled the Son of God under foot, who has treated as an unholy thing the blood of the covenant that sanctified him, and who has insulted the Spirit of grace?

As for those who have been led to the truth of salvation, if they fall away, being tempted by the evildoers, they cannot be brought back to repentance.

No sacrifice for their sins is left, but only a fearful expectation of judgment.

All wicked sins we previously committed have been forgiven through the precious blood of Christ in the truth of the new covenant. If we sin again, forgetting His grace, it is a sin of treating as an unholy thing the blood of the covenant that sanctified us and crucifying Christ all over again and subjecting Him to public disgrace. Such a person who brings disgrace on Christ will never be allowed to enter the kingdom of heaven.

Those who cannot inherit the kingdom of heaven

Not all people who claim to believe in God and also claim to be His children can be saved. The Biblical hisotry clearly shows that. Abraham had two sons, Isaac and Ishmael. Ishmael born in the ordinary way could not inherit his father’s estate, but Isaac born according the Holy Spirit was able to become the heir. This is a prophetical event that shows us something important: Those born through God the Mother can be God’s children and His heirs as well, but those who live by their sinful nature, not by the Spirit, will not be able to inherit the kingdom of God.

Gal 5:17-24 For the sinful nature desires what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the sinful nature . . . The acts of the sinful nature are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the sinful nature with its passions and desires.

1 Co 6:9-10 Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God.

God has told us solemnly that even the people of Zion will not inherit the kingdom of God if they pursue their sinful nature. This is what God has taught us.

God forgives both the sins we committed in heaven and the sins we committed on the earth before we knew God while we were Gentiles. But as for those who keep on sinning and living wicked lives even in the truth of the new covenant, God takes away from them their share in the inheritance of the kingdom of heaven.

Honor God with your good deeds

Let’s take a look at the Biblical teachings about how we should live as the people who have received the truth of the new covenant.

1 Co 6:14-20 By his power God raised the Lord from the dead, and he will raise us also. Do you not know that your bodies are members of Christ himself? . . . Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your body.

It is written, “Honor God with your body.” This means that God’s people should live godly and beautiful lives physically as well, being good examples even to people of the world. If those who have received the new covenant and realized Heavenly Father and Mother think and act the same way the people of the world do, what is the difference between them?

A pastor of a Protestant church once taught the congregation: “Jesus Christ carried away all our sins, so there is no more sins left in this world. We can do whatever we please.” Then a member of that church murdered an old couple who ran a jewelry shop. When a judge asked him why he did so, he answered, “I’ve learned in my church that I can do anything because all my sins have been forgiven.”

This is not a teaching of God. There is only thing that waits for the people who commit sin while claiming to be Christians. That is God’s wrath and judgment.

We are God’s holy people who have been taught the new covenant. In Christ, we should become the salt and light of the world and display God’s glory through our good deeds, so even the people of the world recognize and praise us, saying, “Those who believe in Heavenly Father and Mother and are taught by Them are really good and great people!”

1 Pe 1:14-16 As obedient children, do not conform to the evil desires you had when you lived in ignorance. But just as he who called you is holy, so be holy in all you do; for it is written: “Be holy, because I am holy.”

God, who has called us and always leads us to the way of righteousness, tells us to be holy in everything we do. As we are now in God, we should turn from our sinful ways we had while living like Gentiles without knowing God, and become holy just as God is holy.

Let your righteousness surpass that of the world

“Let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven.” This is also a command of God which we must keep. Nevertheless, some stubbornly try to interpret the words on their own.

Ro 2:5-8 But because of your stubbornness and your unrepentant heart, you are storing up wrath against yourself for the day of God’s wrath, when his righteous judgment will be revealed. God will give to each person according to what he has done. To those who by persistence in doing good seek glory, honor and immortality, he will give eternal life. But for those who are self-seeking and who reject the truth and follow evil, there will be wrath and anger.

God has plainly told us that our “stubbornness” and our “unrepentant hearts” cause us to store up His wrath for the Day of Judgment. Those who continue to do wicked things unworthy of the truth, insisting on mistakenly believing that they can enter the kingdom of heaven, have already lost the right to become God’s children.

We are sinners who committed sin in heaven and were cast down to the earth. Therefore, we should keep in mind that we need repentance and now is the time for repentance. Although we are given a chance to repent, if we keep on piling up our sins, how can we go back to the eternal kingdom of heaven?

Mt 5:17-20 “Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them. I tell you the truth, until heaven and earth disappear, not the smallest letter, not the least stroke of a pen, will by any means disappear from the Law until everything is accomplished. Anyone who breaks one of the least of these commandments and teaches others to do the same will be called least in the kingdom of heaven, but whoever practices and teaches these commands will be called great in the kingdom of heaven. For I tell you that unless your righteousness surpasses that of the Pharisees and the teachers of the law, you will certainly not enter the kingdom of heaven.”

God wants each of us, His children, to live a more righteous life than that of anyone in this world, and tells us through the Bible what we, who are in the truth of the new covenant, should do. So, let us engrave in our hearts what God has told us and realize our duties and obligations that we should observe, both physically and spiritually, so that we may glorify God through more gracious and beautiful deeds and practice the new covenant, as the children of Heavenly Parents.

Let us give thanks to God for having granted us the forgiveness of sins through the truth of the new covenant, and run vigorously towards the eternal kingdom of heaven, having an upright faith and only looking up to Heavenly Father and Mother. I hope that all of us will become worthy to inherit God’s kingdom, as good and righteous children of Heavenly Father and Mother.
