The Scent of Christ and the Scent of Mother
Now, every Zion that preaches Mother and Her love is making a gracious progress in the gospel of God. As we preach the truth about Mother, many souls stream to Zion from Samaria and the ends of the earth. What do you think the reason is?
It is because there is the scent of Mother in Zion. The Bible compares God’s people visibly to light and gustatorily to salt (Mt 5:13–16), and olfactorily it describes the smell of the knowledge of Christ as the “aroma of Christ” spreading throughout the world. So, God’s people in this age of the Holy Spirit are the fragrance of Christ, who proclaim the Spirit and the Bride—God the Father and God the Mother.
What we should do to lead all the people of Zion into the arms of Mother is to emit the scent of Mother as much as possible. Let’s take a look at some Bible verses about it.
A mother’s smell is necessary for her child
Babies who cannot communicate with words express their uncomfortable feelings and show signs of needing help and care by crying or whining. When babies cry peevishly, it is most likely because they are hungry; they show a sign of how desperately hungry they are. In most cases, they stop crying as soon as they start drinking breast milk or formula. Besides, they cry peevishly when their diapers are wet or dirty, when they are sick, when they are sleepy, and when they get bored and want their moms to play with them. Whenever babies express themselves through crying, their mothers need to let them feel the warmth of their bodies and sometimes they need to make eye contact with them and play with them. Then they can have a natural communication, which is the most important factor in the relationship between a mother and her child.
The smell of a mother is also an important part of it. Sometimes babies keep whining when their mothers are out of sight for just a short while, even though they are not hungry or sick. In this case, when the clothes of their mothers are placed right beside them, they feel comfortable and fall asleep easily. It is more effective when the clothes are more deeply permeated with their mothers’ smell.
The smell of a mother is more necessary for her child than anything else in the world. For babies, their mothers’ smell is a familiar, comfortable scent because they have been smelling it from their mothers’ wombs. That’s why they become calm and soothed by the smell of their mothers even when they feel uneasy and scared. Psychologists say that babies can grow up emotionally stable when they smell the scent of their mothers for at least three hours a day until they are 36 months old, and that those who do not smell their mothers’ scent to their hearts’ content during this period will suffer from mental health problems such as emotional disturbances even after they are grown-up.
It is the same spiritually. Physically, when children do not smell the scent of their mothers, they feel uneasy and suffer from emotional difficulties even after they are grown-up. How much more uneasy will the people feel emotionally and spiritually who believe that ‘Mother doesn’t exist or there is no God the Mother’? That’s why they turn away from God’s commandments described in the Bible and behave in the wrong way with a false faith and the wrong type of thinking.
Many people say they feel comfortable when they come to Zion. One of the reasons they feel at ease in Zion is because there is the scent of Mother in Zion. Zion is a place where many souls can smell the scent of Mother. Because of the scent of Mother, God’s children are gathering to Zion.
God the Mother whom the Bible testifies about
The scent of Mother has deeply permeated into the words of truth in the Bible, given by the inspiration of God. Let us follow the smell of Mother through the Bible.
2 Ti 3:15 . . . and how from infancy you have known the holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus.
The Bible is a book which is able to make us wise for salvation. Since the Bible teaches us that there exist God the Father and God the Mother and there are also Their sons and daughters, we must believe it in order to attain salvation.
The Bible emphasizes that things on earth are a copy and shadow of things in heaven (Heb 8:5). Through the Bible, we can realize that just as we have the fathers of our flesh, so we have the Father of our spirits.
Mt 6:8–9 “Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him. This, then, is how you should pray: ‘Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name . . .’ ”
2 Co 6:17–18 “Therefore come out from them and be separate, says the Lord. Touch no unclean thing, and I will receive you. I will be a Father to you, and you will be my sons and daughters, says the Lord Almighty.”
The Father of our spirits is God. God is a Father to us, and we are God’s sons and daughters. Like this, the Bible shows that there are Father and His sons and daughters, who are indispensable members in the heavenly family. Then, who else is necessary for a perfect family? It’s the mother who gives life to her children.
What about the spiritual family? Is Mother dispensable? She must exist. Wherever Mother is, there are life, love, joy and peace. In a place without Mother, there are many problems; falsehood and lawlessness are rampant, and people hate and fight each other. So, without a doubt, there is Mother in the kingdom of heaven—a place of everlasting life, love, and joy.
Gal 4:26 But the Jerusalem that is above is free, and she is our mother.
Here, “our mother” does not mean our physical mother, but refers to our spiritual Mother in heaven. So, we can see that there are Father and children called God’s sons and daughters and also Mother in the spiritual world, too.
God’s people proclaim Christ, as the aroma of Christ
It is also a part of God’s providence that children grow in their mothers’ arms. The Bible clearly testifies about God the Mother. God has allowed us to smell the fragrance of the knowledge of Mother.
2 Co 2:14–16 But thanks be to God, who always leads us in triumphal procession in Christ and through us spreads everywhere the fragrance of the knowledge of him. For we are to God the aroma of Christ among those who are being saved and those who are perishing. To the one we are the smell of death; to the other, the fragrance of life. And who is equal to such a task?
The Bible describes us as the “aroma of Christ” spreading the fragrance of the knowledge of Christ. So, we have the mission to spread the scent of Mother to the souls in this sinful world who do not yet know Mother.
We should work hard every day to lead many souls around us to repentance and salvation by spreading the fragrance of the knowledge of God the Mother. If we do so, the lost children of heaven will realize Mother and return to Zion.
Isa 60:1–5 “Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the LORD rises upon you. See, darkness covers the earth and thick darkness is over the peoples, but the LORD rises upon you and his glory appears over you. Nations will come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your dawn. Lift up your eyes and look about you: All assemble and come to you; your sons come from afar, and your daughters are carried on the arm. Then you will look and be radiant, your heart will throb and swell with joy . . .”
As we arise and shine—as we emit the fragrance of Mother, God’s children from all nations are all returning to the arms of Jerusalem our Mother.
Children gather where their mother’s smell is. We must not let the smell of Mother disappear from Zion. What children miss the most is the smell of their mother. If we remove the smell of Mother that has permeated Zion and fill it with another smell, God’s children do not gather to Zion no matter how sweet the smell might be. Instead of stubbornly trying to retain our own smell, we should fill ourselves with the fragrance of God the Mother and spread it to other people as well.
To keep the scent of Mother from spreading, Satan continuously slanders us. However, no matter what kinds of tricks Satan uses to deceive us, the people of Zion, we all know the smell of Mother and so we can discern what is true and what is false. The Sabbath is a part of the fragrance of Mother, the Passover is a part of Her fragrance as well, and the seven feasts in three times are also a part of the fragrance of Mother. If we follow the scent of Mother and walk the right path of faith, we can meet Mother.
God the Mother whom mankind must find
The Bible provides God’s words which are able to give us the wisdom that leads to salvation. We must fully understand God the Father and God the Mother described in the Bible and discern the smell of Mother correctly, so that we can enter the eternal kingdom of heaven safely.
Rev 22:17 The Spirit and the bride say, “Come!” And let him who hears say, “Come!” Whoever is thirsty, let him come; and whoever wishes, let him take the free gift of the water of life.
Viewed in the light of the Trinity, the Holy Spirit is God the Father. In the above verse, the bride is the wife of God the Father; She is our Mother. God the Father and God the Mother say, “Come! Whoever wishes, let him take the free gift of the water of life.” Those who find Father and Mother who call out to them, “Come!” and come to Them—they are God’s children who truly believe in God and God’s people who can attain salvation in the eternal kingdom of heaven which God has prepared for them.
The Spirit and the Bride say, “Come! Whoever is thirsty, let him come.” The emotionally thirstiest moment for children is when they miss the smell of their mother. At this moment, they cannot be soothed by any other person or anything delicious. It is not because the person doesn’t take good care of them, but because what they absolutely need is the smell of their mother.
This is the earthly principle. What about the spiritual principle then? Through this physical principle, we can understand the spiritual providence: Spiritually, too, God’s children need the smell of Mother. Whoever wishes, whoever is longing for the smell of Mother, is to return to Father and Mother without fail.
We are the fallen angels who sinned against God in heaven and have been cast down to the earth. By the grace of Father and Mother, we are given a chance to repent on this earth. So, we have now returned to Zion through the smell of Mother under the guidance of Father and Mother. However, there are still many of our brothers and sisters who have not come to Zion yet. They must be waiting for the smell of Mother somewhere on this earth—the city of refuge, thinking, ‘Mother must be here somewhere to find me.’ So, when they smell the scent of Mother through the members of Zion, they willingly return to God’s arms, feeling relief and joy—‘Ah, I’ve finally found Mother!’
Ge 1:26–27 Then God said, “Let us make man in our image, in our likeness, and let them rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air, over the livestock, over all the earth, and over all the creatures that move along the ground.” So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them.
From the first chapter of the Bible, God has made known to us that we have God the Mother. God created man, saying, “Let us make man.” This shows that God is not one. When man was made in the image of God, male and female were created. Doesn’t it prove that there are both male and female images of God? Since we have been calling the male image of God “Father,” what should we call the female image of God? We should call Her “Mother.”
Let us spread Mother’s fragrance, as the aroma of Mother
A mother’s arms are the most comfortable place for her children. Even in the face of a fierce animal, when they hide under their mother’s skirt, they don’t get scared but feel safe. God has bound a mother and her child to each other by such an intimate bond and relationship.
We have gathered in Zion with a longing for the smell of Mother. Many people in the world claim to believe in God, but they do not even know that God the Mother exists. For us, however, God the Mother is the most precious One. Just as children cannot grow emotionally stable if they do not smell the scent of their mother after they are born, we cannot gain the wisdom that leads to salvation if we fail to receive Heavenly Mother and do not come to Her.
It is the same when we preach the gospel. We cannot find our lost brothers and sisters unless we spread the scent of Mother, no matter how much we know about the Bible. If we want to bear much good fruit, we should first fill ourselves with the scent of Mother and spread Her fragrance. When each and every Zion throughout the world is filled with the smell of Mother, our lost brothers and sisters will all return to the arms of Mother. This is God’s purposed will. Being considerate of others, taking care of them, and sacrificing for them to save their souls—this is an act of spreading the scent of Mother.
Boast a lot about Mother above everything else. This is Father’s will for us. The Bible says that God has revealed the existence of Jerusalem to us, so that She will be the praise and glory of the earth (Isa 62:6–7). As the aroma of Mother, let us diligently spread the fragrance of the knowledge of Mother until all of our brothers and sisters, who are still wandering around aimlessly without being able to smell the scent of Mother, return to Zion.
The gospel of the new covenant is to be instinctively accepted by God’s children and to be successful. As they meet Mother here on earth, whom they were separated from in heaven, they will be willing to come to Her, won’t they? They are all meant to find Mother and come to Her. If we display the glory of Mother, people from all nations will gather together to Her. God has already purposed it. According to this purpose of God, let us diligently spread the scent of Mother and lead all mankind to life, as the fragrant, beautiful aroma of Mother.
