2,000 years ago, Jesus was born on this earth to save mankind. He was baptized at the age of 30, and preached the gospel of the new covenant during His public ministry of about three and a half years. After finishing His mission, He went up to heaven.

When Christ ascended to heaven, He promised to come back to this earth (Ac 1:6–11). 2018 is a very meaningful year that marks the 100th birth anniversary of Christ Ahnsahnghong—Jesus who has come a second time according to the prophecies of the Bible. Let us find out why God has come to this earth, through the Bible.

The dark world where the truth is obscured

After Jesus’ ascension, there were many changes on this earth. Our enemy the devil thought he could easily control God’s children because God was not here on earth, and began to change God’s set times and laws.

Around the end of the apostolic age, the truths of the early Church began to change one after another. Then the church lost its first love and pursued comfort. The spirit of faith, which God’s people had kept even under severe persecution, rapidly faded away as Emperor Constantine legalized Christianity and adopted conciliatory policies toward Christians at the beginning of the fourth century. The church accepted human theories and traditions instead of God’s laws. In A.D. 321 the Sabbath was abolished as Sunday became the official day of rest and worship, and in A.D. 325 the Passover was abolished at the Council of Nicaea. Afterwards, non-Biblical practices such as the celebration of Christmas and the veneration of the cross were introduced into the church.

Through the parable of the weeds, Jesus had previously shown that these things would happen. Just as Jesus said that the enemy, the devil, came and sowed weeds among the wheat, the seeds of lawlessness began to flourish around the end of the apostolic age and the new covenant—the truth that leads to salvation—faded away from the earth.

As the truth—the light—disappeared, the Dark Ages came. When there was no one who would discern the truth or teach it in total darkness, God came to this earth. It’s because the truth of life could not be restored to human beings unless He came again. Without restoration of the truth, we cannot receive the forgiveness of sins, and without the forgiveness of sins, the way to heaven cannot be opened to us.

1 Co 4:5 Therefore judge nothing before the appointed time; wait till the Lord comes. He will bring to light what is hidden in darkness and will expose the motives of men’s hearts. At that time each will receive his praise from God.

In the dark, no one can tell what the truth is and which way is the way to heaven. When Christ comes and brings to light what is hidden in darkness and exposes the motives of men’s hearts, then we can distinguish truth from falsehood, light from darkness, good from evil, and the way to heaven from the road to hell. Wicked servants and righteous servants, lazy servants and diligent and wise servants, can also be clearly distinguished from each other.

He will teach us His ways

Man-made rules, which are prevalent in the world today, are not part of the gospel of the kingdom. Only when God Himself comes and restores the truth of the early Church can the gospel be preached in Samaria and to the ends of the earth.

Mt 28:18–20 Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

When God comes and restores the truth in the age of the Holy Spirit, God’s people learn His teaching and graciously carry out the work of baptizing people in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit and proclaiming the way of truth to all nations.

Da 7:19–21 “Then I wanted to know the true meaning of the fourth beast, which was different from all the others and most terrifying, with its iron teeth and bronze claws—the beast that crushed and devoured its victims and trampled underfoot whatever was left. I also wanted to know about the ten horns on its head and about the other horn that came up, before which three of them fell—the horn that looked more imposing than the others and that had eyes and a mouth that spoke boastfully. As I watched, this horn was waging war against the saints and defeating them . . .”

The fourth beast in Daniel 7 represents the Roman Empire. Just as it was prophesied that a little horn would come up and uproot three horns, the Roman Papacy destroyed three of the ten kingdoms into which the Roman Empire had been divided—Heruli, Vandals and Ostrogoths, and solidified its position. While God was on this earth, His people were victorious. After His ascension, however, they were defeated by the little horn. In other words, the Roman Papacy changed God’s set times and laws, including the Sabbath and the Passover. The Bible describes it as the little horn’s victory over the saints.

Since the Dark Ages, there have been so many Bible scholars and Christian denominations. However, none of them have been able to restore the new covenant laws that were lost, and they just insist that they are the only true church. No one can find the truth because all human beings are spiritually blind; though seeing, they do not see, and though hearing, they do not hear or understand with their hearts. Only God can restore the truth.

Da 7:22 . . . until the Ancient of Days came and pronounced judgment in favor of the saints of the Most High, and the time came when they possessed the kingdom.

Da 7:22, TEV Then the one who had been living forever came and pronounced judgment in favor of the people of the Supreme God. The time had arrived for God’s people to receive royal power.

In Daniel 7 we can see the scene where God’s people possess the kingdom when God comes to this earth again and restores the truth of the new covenant—their right. According to this prophecy, we are now keeping the new covenant laws in Zion, including the seven feasts in three times such as the Passover as well as the Sabbath. For thousands of years, Satan has shut the doors of people’s hearts to deceive them into mistaking falsehood for the truth. However, God has come and broken down the bars of their hearts.

Mic 4:1–2 In the last days the mountain of the LORD’s temple will be established as chief among the mountains; it will be raised above the hills, and peoples will stream to it. Many nations will come and say, “Come, let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, to the house of the God of Jacob. He will teach us his ways . . .”

It is prophesied that when God Himself comes and teaches people His ways, many peoples will gather together and come to Him. We cannot restore the rights of God’s people with our own strength and wisdom. Since God has come, the way of life has been opened to mankind. The coming of Christ Ahnsahnghong is the greatest and most important event in human history because He has delivered human beings from the fetters of Satan and the way of death and led them to the way of life.

Declaration of the new covenant—the truth that leads to salvation

If Father did not come to this earth in the flesh to teach us His ways, we would not have been able to recover the truth today; we would have ended up being unable to know about salvation, the forgiveness of sins, eternal life, and the kingdom of heaven, and failing to recognize Heavenly Mother who is with us.

Heb 9:28 . . . so Christ was sacrificed once to take away the sins of many people; and he will appear a second time, not to bear sin, but to bring salvation to those who are waiting for him.

This verse implies that unless Christ comes to this earth a second time, we cannot be saved. There was only a dark, gloomy future for human beings who couldn’t find the way of life themselves. However, since Father came to this earth, the way of salvation has been opened wide.

Isa 25:6–9 On this mountain the LORD Almighty will prepare a feast of rich food
for all peoples, a banquet of aged wine—the best of meats and the finest of wines. On this mountain he will destroy the shroud that enfolds all peoples, the sheet that covers all nations; he will swallow up death forever. The Sovereign LORD will wipe away the tears from all faces; he will remove the disgrace of his people from all the earth. The LORD has spoken. In that day they will say, “Surely this is our God; we trusted in him, and he saved us. This is the LORD, we trusted in him; let us rejoice and be glad in his salvation.”

In the 66 books of the Bible, the only wine that swallows up death forever is the Passover wine that has the promise of eternal life. In this last age—the age of the Holy Spirit, Christ Ahnsahnghong has come and provided “aged wine”—the truth of the Passover which has been lost for 1,600 years since A.D. 325. Then the way of life has been opened at last.

The prophet Isaiah says that the one who restores the truth of life, which has been stored for a long time, and proclaims salvation to His children with the Passover bread and wine is our God. The Bible repeatedly says that the lost truth can be restored when God comes to this earth in the flesh, and that the one who restores the lost truth is our God.

Declaration of the truth about Jerusalem Mother

If Christ Ahnsahnghong did not come to this earth, it would have been impossible for the seven feasts in three times, including the New Covenant Passover, and the truth about Heavenly Mother to be declared. The Bible describes God as the plural form “Elohim,” and God created mankind, saying, “Let us make man.” Then male and female were created in God’s image—the former in the image of Father and the latter in the image of Mother. However, Satan has made people deny this fact. Heavenly Mother certainly exists, but he has obstructed the truth to make it seem as if She does not exist.

However, Father came to this earth a second time and taught us the laws of the new covenant to help us realize Heavenly Jerusalem—our Mother. Just as the Bible says that the law was put in charge to lead us to Christ, the law of Moses in the Old Testament led people’s hearts to Jesus Christ and all the truths of the new covenant are ultimately leading us to Heavenly Mother (Gal 3:24; 4:21–26).

That’s why the law is important. When we know God’s law, we can know about God. Although false Christs appear here and there and say, “I am the Christ,” those who know God’s law can distinguish the truth from falsehood. So Satan, the devil, has been frantically trying to abolish God’s set time and laws to prevent people from understanding God.

Da 7:23–25 “He gave me this explanation: ‘The fourth beast is a fourth kingdom that will appear on earth. It will be different from all the other kingdoms and will devour the whole earth, trampling it down and crushing it. The ten horns are ten kings who will come from this kingdom. After them another king will arise, different from the earlier ones; he will subdue three kings. He will speak against the Most High and oppress his saints and try to change the set times and the laws. The saints will be handed over to him for a time, times and half a time.’ ”

The forces of Satan opposed God Most High and oppressed His saints. So many people were killed during the 1,260 years of the Dark Ages—a time, times and half a time in the prophecy. However, the sovereignty and power they have are not everlasting; they will be taken away from them.

Da 7:26–27 “ ‘Then the sovereignty, power and greatness of the kingdoms under the whole heaven will be handed over to the saints, the people of the Most High. His kingdom will be an everlasting kingdom, and all rulers will worship and obey him.’ ”

Finally, Satan will be deprived of all his power. Sine Father has come to this earth and Mother is with us, our lost brothers and sisters are returning to Zion and distinguishing the truth from falsehood, as prophesied in the Bible. As we preach what God has taught us, the eyes, ears and hearts of the people of truth are opened and they are coming to Zion from all around the world.

God helps the gospel spread rapidly all over the world. In 2017, Father and Mother blessed us with so many Zions, and over 7,000 Zions are now shining the light of truth in all parts of the world. This has been accomplished within such a short period of time. Satan’s power is being destroyed.

No one has the power to restore the lost truth. If Father did not come to this earth, we would never have been able to know Mother. Just as the Bible says that the LORD establishes Jerusalem and makes her known among the nations, and that Adam named his wife Eve, meaning “life,” and testified that “she would become the mother of all the living,” saying, “This is now bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh,” Christ who has come a second time, represented by Adam, testifies about the Mother of all who will be saved (Isa 62:7; Ge 2:23; 3:20; Ro 5:14).

Father has come to this earth and let us find the new covenant—the truth of life—and Heavenly Mother, and He has led us to Zion—the last prophetic place which the Spirit and the Bride call us to. God has come and restored the truth, which we are abiding in. As a result, we have received the grace of the forgiveness of sins and the blessings of heaven, and we also have the hope of eternal life.

The hope we have comes from the truth that God has acknowledged. Brothers and sisters in Zion! Father Ahnsahnghong has taught us the way to heaven, and Heavenly Mother is with us and leading the work of salvation. Thinking again about Their tremendous grace, let us preach this gospel to the ends of the earth and keep the faith till the end.
