The 67th Overseas Visiting Group

  • Nation | Korea
  • Date | May 30, 2016

On May 30, when the summer began, shouts of “We love you”—the greetings of love—did not stop at the arrival hall of the Incheon Intl. Airport. It was because the overseas members from Nepal, India, Mongolia, Thailand, Laos, Myanmar, Sri Lanka, New Zealand, Australia, South Africa, Ghana, Tanzania, Botswana, and Togo arrived one after another all day long and shared the joy of reunion with Korean members who were there to welcome them.

Mother embraced each and every one of about 240 members from 109 churches in Asia, Africa, and Oceania, and expressed how much She had missed them and loved them. Mother also blessed them to be great gospel workers by receiving the Holy Spirit abundantly from Father as they visited Korea despite difficult situations, and sent Her love to the overseas members who could not visit Korea this time. The next day, Mother Herself taught about love during the opening service held at the New Jerusalem Pangyo Temple: “God is love. Therefore God’s children must become love itself and share love with the world all the time. Let’s deliver true love of the Passover that gives eternal life and salvation. Also, during your visit, please share love with each other so that you can emit the fragrance of Christ.” The members engraved Mother’s words upon their hearts deeply.

The visiting schedule consisted of education programs such as integrated education, preaching practice, gospel worker education, and video education, visits to local churches, training institutes, and the Church of God History Museum, tours of N Seoul Tower, the War Memorial of Korea, an aquarium, and more to follow the traces of Heavenly Father and Mother and to understand Korea, the Holy Land of the gospel.

The overseas members were from various cultures just as their different traditional costumes showed: deel (Mongolia), chut thai (Thailand), churidaar and kurta (India), daura-suruwal (Nepal), and Zulu headband and shweshwe (South Africa). Nevertheless, they became one in Mother. Although they spoke eight different languages, communication was not a problem. They greeted in each other’s language; Asian members spoke in English with the members from Africa or Oceania; and Nepalese members and Mon-golian members shared their fragrances of Zion in their fluent Korean.

Above all, the official language that bound them to be one was Mother’s love. “Throughout the visit, we were at peace like a baby in his mother’s arms, and we were comforted greatly. We could know how much Mother loves us through this visit,” they said. The visiting group finished their schedule with the resolution to preach to seven billion people in their continents and countries and quickened their steps to save the world, encouraging one another.
